TVS recently launched the Jupiter ZX drum brake model with new features, a new colour and a small price bump too. It's called the Jupiter ZX Drum SmartXonnect and let's see all that it has to offer.
Design
The new TVS Jupiter ZX Drum SmartXonnect has carried over the design from its existing lineup. Thus, you see the same family-friendly bodywork with a large front panel housing the turn indicators. Even the headlight, the wide seat, and the side panels have remained unaltered. But it now comes in a new paint scheme of Olive Gold. The entire external bodywork including the front apron, front fender, and rear side panels are painted in the aforementioned colour whereas the remaining bits get a shade of beige. It’s available alongside the Starlight Blue paint scheme.
Features
One of the major updates to the Jupiter ZX Drum is the new features list. It now comes with TVS’ trademarked SmartXonnect technology that gives you access to features like turn-by-turn navigation, voice assist, SMS and call alerts on the instrument cluster. It even gets a built-in USB mobile charging port for added convenience. With the addition of these features, the user experience should also improve.
Engine
Powering the new Jupiter is a 109.7cc, air-cooled engine dishing out 7.77bhp and 8.8Nm. It comes linked to a CVT transmission system. This is the same setup that TVS uses for the remaining Jupiter 110 models.
Hardware
On the hardware front, the TVS Jupiter ZX Drum SmartXonnect comes with telescopic front forks and a monoshock. Its braking hardware comprises a drum brake at both ends. That said, there’s a disc brake option too as a separate variant. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels on both ends. The TVS Jupiter tips the scale at 107kg.
Price
TVS has priced the Jupiter ZX Drum SmartXonnect at Rs. 84,468 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Meanwhile, the base variant is priced at Rs. 73,240 and the top-spec Classic trim costs Rs. 89,648 (all ex-showroom, Delhi).
