Bajaj pulled a rabbit out of a hat by launching the Pulsar NS400Z in India at an astonishingly aggressive price tag. At Rs. 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom), it offers remarkable value for a near-400cc motorcycle. Let’s take a look at the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z in greater detail through its image gallery.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Right Front Three Quarter

The styling of the NS400Z is an evolution of the Pulsar NS200. Although the overall design silhouette resembles the NS200, the bodywork looks sporty and sharp.

What gives it a distinctive identity is the new projector-LED headlamp, which gets lightning bolt-shaped LED daytime running lights that offer character to its fascia.

Moving to the side, the tank shrouds feature a sleeker profile and extend beyond the front forks. Even the tail section panels are all-new and feature faux air vents on the top.

That said, the seats, grab rails, LED taillights, and license plate holder are lifted from the NS200. However, the single-sided tyre hugger is all-new and compliments the bike’s styling.

The Pulsar NS400Z comes loaded with features like a switchable traction control system, ride-by-wire throttle, and four ride modes – Sport, Rain, Road, and Off-road. Each mode alters the power delivery and ABS intervention depending on the road conditions and the mode selected.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z TFT / Instrument Cluster

It also gets full LED lighting and a fully digital instrument console with a separate display for turn-by-turn navigation. The cluster also gets Bluetooth connectivity, enabling the rider to check call and message alerts.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Engine From Right

Under the bodywork, the all-new Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is propelled by a 373cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that is nestled inside a perimeter frame. The engine dishes out 39.5bhp at 8,800rpm and a peak torque of 35Nm at 6,500rpm. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox.

Suspension duties are carried out by 43mm USD forks that feature a golden finish, while the rear gets a gas-charged monoshock with preload adjustability. Meanwhile, the motorcycle drops anchors with the help of an axially-mounted 320mm disc up front and a 230mm disc at the back. It gets dual-channel ABS, which isn’t switchable in any of the modes.

Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z Front Disc Brake

The NS400Z rides on 17-inch alloy wheels that are wrapped on 110/70-17 front and 140/70-R17 tyres. With an ex-showroom price tag of Rs. 1.85 lakh, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is an excellent package considering the pricing of some of its rivals.
