Triumph India has launched the 2024 Tiger 900 range. The updated lineup comprises two variants – the GT and the Rally Pro. The Tiger 900 GT is priced at Rs 13.95 lakh while the Rally Pro costs Rs 15.95 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom. Both models use the same engine, get the same design and most of the features.

Starting with the design, the 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro and Tiger 900 GT have a tall muscular stance and purposeful build. These bikes are oriented towards off-road riding as well as long-distance touring, however, the Rally Pro has the better off-road ability of the two.

The updates for 2024 include revised bodywork on the sides for better heat dissipation, a slightly longer front beak, new cushions for the seat, tweaked exhaust routing, a new instrument console, and revised ergonomics with the handlebar pushed forward.

You can purchase the Rally Pro version in three colours – Carbon Black, Ash Grey, and Matt Khaki Green while the GT also comes in three paint options – Graphite, Snowdonia White, and Carnival Red.

Powering the 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 is an inline three-cylinder, liquid-cooled, 888cc engine that makes 106.5bhp at 9,500rpm and 90Nm at 6,850rpm. The engine is linked to a six-speed gearbox and gets a slip-and-assist clutch. The 900 Rally Pro gets a quickshifter whereas the GT model doesn’t.

The electronics common for the 2024 Triumph Tiger range include a 7-inch TFT screen with My Triumph Connectivity for call and SMS alerts, turn-by-turn navigation, cornering ABS, traction control, emergency braking warning lights, and all LED illumination.

Then, there are a few electronics that only the Rally Pro gets. The list includes six ride modes – Road, Rain, Sport, Rider Configurable, Off-Road and Off-Road Pro, illuminated switches, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a centre stand, and engine protection guards. The GT uses four riding modes – Road, Rain, Sport and Off-Road.

At the rear, there's a Marzocchi monoshock with manual preload, rebound damping adjustment, and 170mm wheel travel. On the other hand, the Tiger 900 Rally Pro uses Showa 45mm upside-down forks featuring manual preload, rebound and compression damping adjustment. It has a significantly higher, 240mm travel. This is paired with a Showa monoshock that gets manual preload and rebound damping adjustability and 230mm wheel travel.

Triumph has equipped the Tiger 900 Rally Pro with a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel wrapped in 90/90 front and 150/70 rear Bridgestone Battlax Adventure tyres. On the other hand, the GT Pro uses a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel shoed with Metzeler TouranceTM Next 100/90 front and 150/70 rear tyre.

In terms of competition, the Tiger 900 GT  and Tiger 900 Rally Pro goes up against the BMW 850GS, Honda Africa Twin and the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE.
