2023 Yezdi Scrambler Review: Image Gallery

Yezdi recently updated the Scrambler with the OBD2 norms and also made other tweaks to the bike’s internals thereby giving it a small refresh overall. We rode it for a few days and here’s what the 2023 Yezdi Scrambler is like in its latest trim.

For MY2023, the Yezdi Scrambler’s design has been largely retained from the previous year’s model. It now sports a few new paint schemes but no changes have been made to the form and that’s fine. It continues with a thorough scrambler build ready to take on broken roads and unpaved surfaces.

However, the quality still needs to be improved by a noticeable margin. There are a little too many wires hanging around the console area and the switchgear too could be more tactile. Meanwhile, the panel gaps and flimsy plastic bits take away a few more points in the fit and finish department.

Powering the Yezdi Scrambler is a 334cc, liquid-cooled motor belting out 29.36bhp and 28.21Nm. It’s linked to a six-speed gearbox. With the recent tweaks, the Scrambler’s power delivery is much more linear and enjoyable. Even the brand’s claim of lowering the NVH level is reflected in the motor refinement.

Then, the tractability has also increased thereby making the Scrambler much easier to ride in traffic. The 2023 model’s exhaust note is also different and packs more grunt and bass and we like it.

Another area where we feel the Yezdi Scrambler could do better is its suspension. While the front forks absorb the bumps and potholes easily, the rear springs seem to kick back. The setup is a little firm and sends jolts to the rider’s back. After a while of riding, the Scrambler feels a little uncomfortable because of its rear shocks.

At 192kg, the Yezdi Scrambler is no lightweight. But its handling is agile and riding the bike spiritedly is just as much fun, thanks to the wide handlebar and the quick directional changes. The Scrambler’s braking is quite reliable with the predictable bite, but a little more initial stopping power would make it even better.

So, what about the features, riding triangle, and fuel efficiency? Also, should you consider spending Rs. 2.10 lakh on the Yezdi Scrambler? We recommend you read our road test review for a detailed report of it.
