UM Motorcycles has inaugurated a new showroom in New Delhi. Located at G-7, Connaught Place near the Radisson Blu Marina Arcade, this is the American motorcycle manufacturer’s first showroom in the country.
This new dealership in New Delhi is the first of the 11 showrooms that the company plans to open in the next few months. Earlier this year, UM Motorcycles had stopped accepting bookings for new motorcycles after clocking the first 1,000 bookings. However this showroom is now accepting bookings for the UM Sport S and Commando Renegade models. UM Motorcycles will also start offering test rides for these models very soon. Deliveries of the first batch of motorcycles are expected to commence before the end of this month. The company is also planning to launch the flagship Renegade Classic by the end of this year.
With a target of selling 3,000 motorcycles a month, the company will set up 25 dealerships before the end of this year. For now, the company will manufacture its line-up at its business venture partner, Lohia Motors’ manufacturing facility in Kashipur, Uttarakhand, though it eventually plans to invest in a standalone manufacturing unit depending upon the demand.
