Suzuki Gixxer to get a rear disc brake

Suzuki will soon introduce the naked Gixxer and faired Gixxer SF motorcycles with a rear disc brake. These new variants might be priced Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,500 more than the standard variants.

There are no other changes to the motorcycles apart from the addition of the rear disc brake. The manufacturer had recently brought out new colours for both motorcycles. Features like digital instrument cluster with trip meter, fuel gauge, odometer etc. are continued from the previous model.

There are no changes to the powertrain of the Gixxer that remains powered by the four-stroke single cylinder air-cooled 155cc engine. This motor churns out 13.94bhp of power and 14Nm of torque and comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.

The Gixxer motorcycles are a good option for people looking for a 150cc bike with good performance and decent fuel efficiency. Suzuki has further enhanced the package with the addition of the rear disc brake that should provide even better braking abilities. The new variants will be launched during the festive season.
