Mahindra Two-Wheeler will be part of Automotive & Farm Equipment (AFS) division

Mahindra has announced that its two-wheeler company will move to the Automotive and Farm Equipment (AFS) unit from April 2014. This realignment will help the two-wheeler business take advantage of synergies with AFS across the value chain including R&D, sourcing, manufacturing, distribution, marketing and human capital.

This new strategy coincides with the retirement of Anoop Mathur, president of two-wheeler division and member of Group Executive Board who will serve his last working day on March 31, 2014. This will certainly help their two-wheeler business, as synergies with rest of the automotive departments will help them reduce R&D cost and increase economies of scale.
