Mahindra Mojo electric bike spied testing

- Electric Mojo was spied outside Bosch facility in Bengaluru

- Bike misses out on the gear shift lever ; gets belt drive

Mahindra’s flagship motorcycle, the Mojo didn’t really set the sales chart on fire. But that hasn’t deterred the company into venturing out in the electric vehicle segment.

A Mojo electric prototype was spied recently outside the Bosch facility in Bengaluru. The bike looks exactly like the standard model but there are a few changes on the bike that makes us believe that it’s an electric bike. Firstly, the bike didn’t have any gear lever. Secondly, there’s an additional plastic panels that covers the motor. But the most important change that can be seen on this bike is the presence of a larger sprocket and belt drive.

Mahindra has showed interest in bringing in electric two-wheelers in the future, but it is interesting to see an electric Mojo in the making. The company has been testing the GenZe since the last few months. This two-wheeler is sold in the US market since the last two years.

We think there’s still some time for the Mojo electric to make its way to the production line. The current major focus for the company is to launch the Jawa motorcycles, which is expected to happen by the end of this year.
