- Ather 450X electric scooter likely to get red paint

The upcoming Ather Community Day which is scheduled on 7 January, 2023, will serve as a stage for new updates and announcements from the Bangalore-based electric vehicle manufacturer. The company has remained tight-lipped about the event. However, our sources close to the developments have confirmed that Ather Energy will introduce a new colour option for the 450X electric scooter.
Now, a teaser on Ather's social media handles indicates that the company will add the red colour to its electric scooter. Currently, the Ather 450X range is available in three colours – Space Grey, Mint Green, and White. The upcoming colour will be the fourth option on the list. Similar to the existing paint options, this new colour should get a contrasting shade for the chassis and the decals.
Meanwhile, it should retain the styling elements and come equipped with an apron-mounted headlight, stylish rear-view mirror mounts, single-piece pillion grabrail, and an exposed frame under the rider’s seat. The specifications, too, are likely to remain unaltered. Thus, the 450X electric scooter will continue to use a PMSM electric motor that makes 8.31bhp and 26Nm. In comparison, the Ather 450 Plus makes 7.24bhp and 22Nm.
In more updates, Ather Energy has reported its sales data for December 2022. The company sold 9,187 electric scooters in December 2022, registering a year-on-year growth of 389 per cent.
