Tork Motorcycles has finally launched its first electric motorcycle in India. The company has priced this electric motorcycle at Rs 1.25 lakh and that’s an introductory price.
Under development since last seven years, the Tork T6X is India’s first premium electric motorcycle that has been developed from ground-up. It has been launched at a time when the Indian government has been focusing a lot on alternative fuel vehicles, especially electric ones.
When it comes to features, the T6X is fully-loaded. It gets on board navigation, storage, cloud connectivity, full digital display and quick charge. Other than this, the rider can connect his/her smartphone to T6X via its mobile app. This application shows the battery health, range, service alerts and customised riding profiles. Apart from these, the T6X sports safety features like ABS, CDS, anti-theft, geo fencing and daytime running lamp (DRL). All these features are possible because of the company's motorcycle technology - Tiros (Tork Intuitive Response Operating System). Apart from analysing every ride, this system also learns the riding style. There’s storage space for helmet as well, and the rider can charge his phone via a mobile charging point.
As a part of the first launch phase, the Tork T6X is available in three cities – Pune, Bengaluru and Delhi. The bikes can be pre-booked from three colour options.
