What’s new?
The X21 concept is a race machine built on the RTR 200 4V. Though it is built on the same double cradle frame, I will have to say the body work is futuristic to downplay it. For the enthusiasts, TVS has built this motorcycles as a tribute to the MMRT, the Madras Motorsport Race Track, and carries a decal of the track layout on the tank.
India relevance?
It might be a motorcycle built by an Indian company, but in the end, it is still a concept. The engine has been reworked with free flow conical air filters mounted on the intake manifold. The free flow exhausts will be loud and certainly not road legal. The concept underlines the future of the design language TVS will speak out with their new performance motorcycles with elements of it making to production bikes somewhere down the line.
Launch plans?
Well, it neither has a headlamp nor a tail lamp. So, the X21 is not street legal to start with. But looking at the angular sharp lines, our team of bikers can already visualise a fully faired version of the RTR 200 4V is this thing is anywhere close to hitting the road.
