- 2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS debuts in Malaysia
- Gets a new colour scheme
- Continues with 948cc, inline-four engine
Kawasaki has introduced the 2024 Z900 RS in Malaysia a few months after unveiling the model for global markets.
For the new model year, the motorcycle receives a new colour called the Yellow Ball Edition. The paint scheme consists of yellow and black that features on the side of the fuel tank. Even the rear section gets yellow pinstripes to finish the look. Lastly, there is the Kawasaki logo in the old style that enhances its retro appeal. However, other than this the Z900 RS remains the same. It continues with the round headlamp with LED lighting, a twin-pod instrument cluster with an LCD screen and a teardrop-shaped fuel tank. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels with road tyres.
Powering the Z900 RS is a 948cc, inline-four cylinder engine that is mated to a six-speed gearbox. This motor churns out 110bhp and 98.5Nm. That said, the braking setup includes 300mm twin discs at the front and a 250mm single disc at the rear. It boasts a 17-litre fuel tank and tips the weighing scale at 215kg.
Its list of features comprises full-LED lighting and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The unit has an analogue speedometer and tachometer while the rest of the readouts such as the fuel gauge, gear position indicator, odometer, and trip meter are available on the digital display. Further, the electronic rider aids comprise dual-channel ABS and a traction control system.
While Kawasaki has launched the 2024 Z900 RS in India, it is not available in the Yellow Ball colour option and is unlikely to be introduced here too.
