- 2022 KTM RC 390 production version spied
- India launch might be around the corner
- To be priced considerably higher than the outgoing model
KTM had removed the RC 390 from its official website last month, hinting at the imminent launch of its next-generation model in India. While we’re still waiting for that to happen, the production model of the 2022 KTM RC 390 has now been spied.
The motorcycle has been spotted testing on multiple occasions before, revealing a lot of details about the bike. Firstly, the design is a major departure from the outgoing model as the sharpness and aggression has been toned down a bit now. It gets a redesigned bodywork and the changes have been executed from the headlamp to the tail section. The latest spy image also reveals one of the paint schemes it will be available in. It’s a bold combination of orange, black, and white shades.
Similar to the design, the ergonomics will also be different now. The overall riding triangle will be more relaxed with a taller clip-on handlebar and slightly front-set footpegs. Moreover, the frame and sub-frame have also been revised, and larger seats could be one of the results of this alteration. While it is likely to be powered by the 373cc, single-cylinder engine, expect it to be tuned differently for a friendlier character. We might also see the inclusion of better features like a colour TFT screen.
The 2022 KTM RC 390 could be launched in the coming weeks with a price tag considerably higher than its predecessor that costs Rs 2.66 lakh (ex-showroom).
