- 2020 Kawasaki Z900 CARB document leaked on the internet
- Engine displacement remains unchanged at 948cc
- Likely to get new styling and modern electronic aids
Kawasaki is likely to unveil the 2020 edition of its middle-weight street naked, the Z900, at the EICMA show in Milan next week. This was hinted by a recently surfaced CARB (California Air Resources Board) document filed for the 2020 model of the motorcycle.
The CARB document doesn’t reveal much details about the bike, except for conveying that Kawasaki is planning a model update for the Z900. It mentions about the displacement of the bike which remains unchanged at 948cc. However, one thing we can anticipate is it will be Euro5/BS-VI-compliant. Because of this, the power figures may also vary, as we have noticed in the case of other models.
A comprehensive update for the Z900 makes complete sense considering it only received new paint schemes for 2019. For the coming year, we might see a substantially restyled version of the street fighter. Moreover, Kawasaki might also introduce modern electronic aids considering the bike is currently bare basic in this department.
The Japanese bike maker took the wraps off its mighty supercharged naked, the Z H2, at the Tokyo Motor Show. Now, there are high chances the company might have saved the new Z900 for the EICMA. As we know, Kawasaki will unveil three new models at Milan and now it remains to be seen if the 2020 Z900 joins that trio.
