The Harley-Davidson CVO Limited has been launched in India at Rs 49.23 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The CVO Limited is a Project Rushmore motorcycle, and hence comes loaded with all the top of the line touring amenities Harley-Davidson has to offer. The 2014 model has been redesigned from the ground up for more comfort, more power, better handling and a more classic style.

The front of the CVO Limited sports the iconic batwing fairing, which has been reworked to reduce head buffeting. Conventional halogen bulbs have been ditched in favour of Daymaker LED headlamps, which promise better illumination and a longer life. It also gets reflex anti-lock braking system, which is just a fancy term for an electronically linked ABS system. Braking hardware is made up of a four-piston front and rear calipers with dual front rotor brake system.

The CVO Limited is powered by a Twin Cam 110 engine with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI). The 1,801cc powerplant is the largest displacement V-twin unit from the company and is rated at 156Nm of torque. It comes mated to a six-speed Cruise Drive Transmission. The ventilator intake with Screamin' Eagle Badge sits bang in the middle of the two cylinders.

Harley-Davidson has also worked on improving the dynamics of the motorcycle, to make it a more comfortable touring machine than the previous model. The company has stiffened up the front end, increased the fork diameter to 49mm and re-tuned the damping for a smoother ride. It comes equipped with a cruise control and an infotainment system with a 6.5-inch display.

Besides the CVO Limited, Harley-Davidson also launched the Street Glide and Softail Breakout in the Indian market today. The addition of these three new models shows Harley-Davidson’s commitment to the Indian market. Being a part of completely different segments, the three new models are expected to widen the American manufacturer’s customer base in the world's largest two-wheeler market.
