KTM Duke 390 scoop pictures emerges

The much awaited motorcycle from KTM, the Duke 390 has been caught testing in India. Our friends at PowerDrift have managed to click an image of the motorcycle that was under test. However, they have only managed to get the front side of the motorcycle.

Looking at this picture, we can see an absence of ABS unit, which means there is a possibility of India to get the non-ABS version to keep costs in check. The international Duke 390 has the ABS as standard with option to switch off the ABS. But as per KTM India site, we will be getting the ABS version. Also we have an image where the Duke 390 is being readied at the assembly line. However, the motorcycle in this image is seen sporting an Orange rim. There might be a possibilty of motorcycle being launched with Orange rim as well. 

The Duke 390 was first unveiled at the 2012 EICMA event in Italy and since then it’s been a hot topic of contention among Indian motorcycle enthusiasts. The machine is powered by a 373c single-cylinder engine which produces power of 44bhp at 9500rpm and 35Nm of torque at 7250rpm. The engine is mated to six-speed gearbox. The Duke 390 has a dry weight of just 139kg which makes an excellent motorcycle when it comes to power to weight ratio.

We are expecting this beast to be priced between Rs 1.8 lakh and Rs 2 lakh.
