- Could be used for scooter model
Bajaj has filed a new trademark in India under the name ‘Vector’. Interestingly, Husqvarna also unveiled a concept scooter under a similar name a few years ago.
Now, there is no confirmation about whether or not the name would be used for a new Bajaj model, but there is a high probability for the same. While trademark filings are no guarantee for a production model, we can expect a ‘Bajaj Vector’ to be introduced as a premium or sportier version of the Chetak electric scooter. Well, the brand has also been spotted testing a similar scooter in recent years.
That said, the Bajaj Vector could just be a filing for the production version of the Husqvarna Vektorr. Furthermore, it could also just be a model for export markets and unlikely to be launched in India. Either way, the introduction of a sporty electric scooter from the brand would be much-needed refresh from the Chetak that is currently one of the underequipped offerings in the EV market today.
