TVS has managed to sell 1 lakh units of the Apache RTR 160 4V within six months of its launch. This makes it one of the fastest selling TVS’ in India.
Launched early this year, the Apache RTR 160 4V is one of the highest selling bikes in its segment. The combination of aggressive styling and good performance has made it an enticing product. In fact, the design resemblance with the Apache RTR 200 4V and great pricing has helped TVS reach this sales figure in such a short span.
The Apache RTR 160 4V gets its power from a four-valve 160cc engine which makes 16.6bhp on the fuel-injected variant and 16.3bhp on the carburetted variant. This engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox that transfers power to the rear-wheel via chain drive.
The Apache RTR 160 4V competes against the Yamaha FZ series, the Suzuki Gixxer, Honda CB Hornet 160R and the Bajaj Pulsar NS160. Out of all the bikes, the Apache RTR 160 4V is in the top three list when it comes to value for money proposition.
