- Will offer an upright and relaxed riding position
- Likely to receive an Ohlins suspension setup
- Will offer a range of 150 miles and a top speed of 150mph (241kmph)
After releasing two teaser images earlier, Lightning Motorcycles has revealed some more information about the upcoming Strike electric motorcycle. The manufacturer has teased two new images, one that shows the bike’s riding position and a second one that's a snap of the new electric motor.
While the company’s LS-218 was a proper superbike that demanded a forward stance, the Strike will offer an upright stance with a rather relaxed riding triangle. However, the position of the foot-pegs is rearward from the centre, thereby allowing for sportier riding. The second teaser image highlights a couple of details about the bike like its swingarm, the motor and also a bit of the rear suspension as well. Apart from the excellent fit and finish of the components visible in the image, the setup seems to be partly similar to the LS-218, especially the design of the swingarm. The image also shows a portion of the rear suspension, wherein the yellow coloured coil and the gold anodised gas containers are indicative of an Ohlins suspension setup.
Lightning will be officially unveiling the motorcycle in March. Spec-wise, the company claims that the Strike will be capable of delivering a range of 150 miles (241.4 km) and a top speed of 150mph (241.4 kmph). Currently, Lightning has no plans of entering the Indian market anytime soon.
