Kawasaki likely to showcase 2019 Versys 1000 this year

Kawasaki has planned a 2019 variant of its litre-class tourer, the Versys 1000. This update, however, will be minor in nature. 

As per a report, the 2019 Versys 1000 will get minor engine changes to decrease the overall emissions. The 2019 version will see a drastic reduction in NOx output as compared to the current model. There will be increase in overall weight as well. 

The 2019 variant might also get new colour options along with updated electronics. But as of now, there’s no information on that front. The Japanese manufacturer might reveal this tourer either at the upcoming 2019 Intermot show or the EICMA show in Milan. This upcoming variant of the Versys 1000 is unlikely to come to India as the company has discontinued the bike due to poor sales.
