You read it right. A retro motorcycle with a supercharged engine sounds too good to be true right? But if rumours are to be believed then we might see Kawasaki launching a supercharged Z900.
This development was revealed by MCN with the help of their Japanese sources. Most of us know that Kawasaki has been reinventing the motorcycle segment with supercharging technology with the last being the Ninja H2. We also wrote about a Kawasaki motorcycle named R2 to get supercharging as well, but just like the Z900, there isn’t any concrete information as of now.
Interestingly, Kawasaki has trademarked the Z900RS name recently. This makes us believe that a very powerful Z900 could come out soon, but as per MCN this bike is several years away from the official debut. Nevertheless, a modern retro motorcycle from Kawasaki surely makes us drool and the news of its getting a supercharged engine makes us go weak in our knees . But for now, let’s not get excited and wait for the 2016 EICMA because we might see some of the new Kawasakis coming to this motoring event.
