Honda has started rolling out its latest scooter, the Cliq in various regions. The company has launched this utilitarian scooter in Maharashtra at Rs 43,076 (ex-showroom Pune).
The Cliq is a semi-urban and rural two-wheeler. It has been designed to be practical and versatile and take a lot of daily abuses. So the flat floorboard has more space and there’s a marginal increase in under seat storage to accommodate more things. Other than this, Honda has given the Cliq block pattern tyres for better grip in dirt road conditions.
Powering this scooter is the same 110cc HET engine that produces 8bhp at 7000rpm and peak torque of 9Nm at 5500rpm. Interestingly, Honda hasn’t claimed any fuel efficiency figure for their new scooter. In terms of features, the Cliq gets the combi-braking system (CBS) and tubeless tyres. The company is also offering features like front screen, floor cover and rear grip as optional.
The Cliq is offered in four colours – red with white, black, blue with white and grey. The Cliq doesn’t really have a direct competitor but the Suzuki Lets and the Mahindra Gusto are priced very close to it.
