Bajaj’s upcoming brand Urbanite is likely to debut in India this year. This brand has been created by the company to take care of the future premium and electric vehicle line-up.
The first product to be launched under this brand could be the electric scooter whose existence was recently confirmed by Rajiv Bajaj, CEO, Bajaj Motorcycles. According to Rakesh Sharma, director, Bajaj Auto, the new Urbanite setup will start to make an appearance in 6-9 months. In the beginning, it will be present in a small way and then will be developed.
The Pune-based manufacturer is looking to make Urbanite a brand that develops innovative and futuristic intra-city mobility solutions. So other than two-wheelers, the brand could also see some new electric three-wheeler and even bring eco-friendly version of the Qute.
