Ducati is planning to launch the XDiavel in the Indian market by next month. While many would regard the Diavel to be Ducati’s first ‘cruiser’, the Italian manufacturer has always tried to dissociate the Diavel from this tag. Now though, Ducati seems to have no qualms in associating itself with this new segment with the XDiavel. Check out the photo gallery of the Ducati XDiavel -

The company’s first ever cruiser, the XDiavel offers a mix of Ducati’s trademark riding dynamics and the comfort of a traditional cruiser.

The ergonomics have been completely revised to offer a more laid back riding position, synonymous with traditional cruisers.

Ducati offers XDiavel customers the option to choose between five seats, three different handlebars and four footrest positions.

At the heart of the XDiavel is a 1262cc Testastretta L-Twin engine, delivering 155bhp and 129Nm through a six-speed transmission.

This is the first time that Ducati is using a belt drive for a motorcycle, which should provide a quieter ride and reduced maintenance costs.

The 17-inch wheels ride on adjustable 50mm inverted front forks and an offset rear monoshock with preload and rebound adjustability.

The 3.5-inch digital display mounted below the handlebar shows information about the rider aids and electronics along with other basic functionalities.

The raised and minimalistic tail section brings the massive 240 section Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres to attention, along with the LED tail lamps.

The front of the Ducati XDiavel gets a distinctive look thanks to the dominant headlamp unit which integrates a full LED DRL system.

Braking setup consists of dual 320mm discs upfront and a 265mm disc in the rear with Brembo callipers.  A cornering ABS system is offered as standard.

The XDiavel will also be available in a more premium specced-up version, called the XDiavel S. This version comes in a glossy black paint scheme.
