Being the company’s first ever indigenously developed motorcycle, the Splendor iSmart 110 is quite an important motorcycle for Hero MotoCorp. Built around a new platform and powered by a new engine, the Splendor iSmart 110 is expected to act as a base for the future commuter models from Hero MotoCorp. The Splendor iSmart 110 carries a different design philosophy, which is accentuated by the funky two tone paint scheme.
The headlamp and mirrors gets an edgy design in tune with the rest of the bodywork. The frame, exhaust and the engine have been blacked out.
The elongated single piece seat along with the handlebar and the footpeg positioning make it an ideal commuter motorcycle.
The sculpted fuel tank and the bikini fairing, despite being conservatively styled, give the Splendor iSmart 110 a distinctively elegant look.
It is powered by a 110cc single-cylinder engine, which delivers 9bhp and the 9Nm of torque through a four-speed transmission.
The engine comes with torque on demand (TOD) system for good performance as well as Hero’s proprietary i3S technology.
This fuel-saving technology could make the Splendor iSmart 110 the most fuel efficient motorcycle in India.
The instrument cluster gets a new design with a central analogue speedometer, a fuel gauge and a digital display for the trip meters.
Both the front and rear wheel gets drum brakes. Suspension setup is made of telescopic front forks and dual springs for the rear.
