Buying the er6n was definitely not on my cards in the beginning of a financial year and when i was already owning a benelli 300 and was more or less happy with it. But then beginning of the year also brought with itself a sweet deal due to the bharat stage transition crisis with the auto markets. The deal that i got was really tempting something had to be done. Honestly i had never ridden a kawasaki before an this and had no idea about its mid segment either. This was therefore a completely a wild shot. When i rode it off from the store yard ( thats where i received the delivery) it was like a dream, specially after the benelli, the gear shifter seems to be behaving like electronic switch because it literally clicks and fall into place. The front view is clean with absolutely zero clutter instrument cluster with a blue hue and no unnecessary plastics since this is a naked bike. The low end torque is more than adequate and the sixth gear ride is like floating in the air, the suspension is that good. The dunlop tyre that is stock with the bike is not exactly the best but i would not complain. The riding position is just right. Not a sleepover like the yamaha r15 or the ktm rc, nor upright like the re classic. It's just the right angle. The engine note is a smooth rusty bass which fades off to a buzz while cruising which literally keeps your head in the right place. Trust me noisy motorcycle is not fun after a long run. Since this beautiful masterpiece is out of production right now, getting spares might become a trouble after few years if not today. After the break away with bajaj and kawasaki having its own brand showroom and workshop, the only skill they show these days is with the billing i guess. :) Besides that, a great bike, a superb tourer and a loyal brand.
