Harley-Davidson has announced the 2021 Fat Boy for the Indian market, and the latest iteration of the motorcycle features the company’s new Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine. The new model is powered by a 1,868cc, V-Twin engine instead of the 1,745cc motor on its predecessor. The new motor is tuned to deliver 155Nm of peak torque at 3,000rpm.
The changes, however, are limited to the mechanical upgrades. The styling, on the other hand, remains similar to its predecessor. Thus, the 2021 Fat Boy comes equipped with a full-LED headlight, chopped fenders, and the trademark ‘disc wheels’. The wheels are wrapped in a 160mm front and a 240mm rear tyres. Other features on the motorcycle include a wide FLH-style handlebar, a textured leather seat insert, custom metal fenders, floorboards, and dual exhausts. The cruiser motorcycle comes equipped with fuel tank-mounted semi-digital instrument cluster.
The hardware on the motorcycle includes cartridge type front forks and a rear monoshock to perform the suspension tasks. The motorcycle tips the weighing scale at 317kg (kerb).
The motorcycle is available in four colours – Vivid Black, Black Jack Metallic, Deadwood Green, and Gauntlet Gray Metallic/Vivid Black (dual tone). The prices change based on the colour option selected. While the Vivid Black is the most affordable paint option, the single tone and the dual tone colours come at a premium of Rs 19,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively.
The ARAI mileage of Harley-Davidson Fat Boy [2022] is 20 kmpl.
