Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber – What to expect?

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber will soon be launched in India. It is the bobber version of the Classic 350, and according to leaked patents, it could be named the Royal Enfield Goan Classic 350. Here's a detailed breakdown of everything we know about the Classic 350 Bobber.

Stripped Down Look

The motorcycle ditches the usual Classic 350 look for a true bobber styling. It will feature a comfortable, upright riding position courtesy of the ape hanger handlebar. While most of the design elements are largely similar to the Classic 350, the bobber features a floating rider seat and a long rear fender. A pillion seat might be available as an optional extra. The white-wall tyres, which will be exclusive to the Classic 350 Bobber, will add a touch of flamboyance to the overall look.

Familiar Engine

Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber Engine From Right

The Classic 350 Bobber will use the proven J-series 349cc, air-cooled engine from the Meteor 350. The single-cylinder motor delivers 20.2bhp at 6,100rpm and a peak torque of 27Nm at 4,000rpm. The engine is paired to a five-speed gearbox. We expect the engine to offer similar levels of performance on the bobber as well, but given that it could be lighter than the Classic 350, the bobber could be feel peppier and fun to ride.

Features

Feature-wise, the Classic 350 Bobber will be similar to the Classic 350 and should offer similar levels of kit. So, it will feature a semi-digital instrument cluster, halogen headlamp, and an LED taillight. For safety, it will come equipped with dual-channel ABS as standard. That said, we expect Royal Enfield to offer the Tripper navigation pod as an option.

Cycle Parts

The hardware will be similar to the Classic 350, and the bobber will come equipped with telescopic forks up front and twin springs at the rear. Then, braking duties will be handled by single discs at both ends. The motorcycle will ride on wire-spoke wheels that would be wrapped on tube-type tyres.

Launch Timeline and Price

The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Bobber is expected to be launched in India in the coming month, mostly around the festive period. It is expected to be positioned between the Classic 350 and the Meteor 350, so the starting price is estimated to be around Rs. 2 lakh (ex-showroom).
