The HOP Electric LYF is a slow-speed electric scooter. It’s available in three variants: base, standard, and extended. The asking price for these variants is Rs 74,999, Rs 89,999, and Rs 89,999, respectively (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
The HOP LYF looks funky with its sharp headlight, cowl-integrated turn signals, and sharp bodywork. In fact, its fascia resembles the Honda Dio. Overall, the HOP LYF seems relatively lightweight and muscular.
HOP has powered the LYF with a 250Watt motor and 1.5kWh battery for the base model. Meanwhile, the standard and extended models get a 2,000Watt motor with a 2.4kWh battery. All three models get a range of 125km. That said, the charging time varies from 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours, according to the variant.
HOP has equipped the LYF electric scooter with smartphone connectivity for geo-fencing, SOS alert, ride history, parental control, and tow alert. It rides on telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks. The braking hardware comprises a front disc and rear drum brake mounted on alloy wheels.

Using Lyf extended - 97 km top it runs before the battery drains out. The starting thirst is unusual and strong, you need time to adjust to the sudden thirst The battery indicator is pathetic - you can't depend on its perfection - you have to watch your total km run counting, which shows only at the start of the Scooty. Plenty of maintenance switches on the handlebar - which is awkwardThe side stand has an unusually long extension - I had to make it bend by myselfThe rest are pretty good - but the price should be 15k less. The indicator software needs to be upgraded.
