The Xtreme Sports is a premium 150cc commuter motorcycle, targeted at young customers looking for a stylish yet efficient motorcycle for their daily commute. While it is based on the standard Xtreme, the Xtreme Sports gets a slew of cosmetic and mechanical updates to help it rival the likes of Suzuki Gixxer, Honda CB Unicorn 160 and the Yamaha FZ Version 2.0.
To visually differentiate it from the standard Xtreme, Hero MotoCorp has equipped the Xtreme Sports with a redesigned cowl near the fuel tank and one underneath the engine. Hero has also included a revised headlamp unit and an instrument cluster as a part of the package. It also gets a wider rear tubeless tyre, a new handle bar, split seats and revised front and rear fenders. In true Hero fashion, the Xtreme Sports also gets a host of new colour options and decals.
For once, the changes are more than just skin deep. While the Xtreme Sports will employ the same 149.2cc used in the standard motorcycle, the power has been bumped up from 14.2bhp to 15.2bhp while the torque has been increased from 12.8Nm to 13.5Nm. The engine is mated to the same five-speed constant mesh gearbox. Other mechanical upgrades include a new five-step adjustable rear suspension and the option of a rear disc brake, for improved stopping power.
The Xtreme Sports is offered in five paint schemes – panther black, mercuric silver, fiery red, pyro orange and black/red. The prices of the Hero Xtreme Sports starts at Rs 76,226 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The ARAI mileage of Hero Xtreme Sports is 48 kmpl. The average of the Xtreme Sports is 48 kmpl, as per the owners of the bike.

Good but not best in segment

Pros: Seat is comfortable, riding is smooth.Pick up is good.Mileage is 46-48 after 6 years of useCons:Gear shift issue remains..If one use oil by motul or other high end ones, it makes a difference and reduces vibration, engine noise, gear shifting and performance too. Tyres are wide but does not give much confidence at high speed or watery surface.Headlight quality is also low.Pain in shoulders and arms after 20-25 km rides in city.Vibration as soon as speed goes past 72km/hBuilt in indicators would have been betterMy bike’s water outlet pipe which is near petrol tank inlet gets chocked up regularly. Basically it’s a good bike with enough style statement, power, performance and mileage. It’s good for guys who are thin and tall.I mean if u buy a fz-s and guy is thin, looks odd.I don’t know why it failed immensely.
