Hero Pleasure+ is a scooter available at a starting price of Rs. 74,958 in India. It is available in 3 variants and 8 colours with top variant price starting from Rs. 80,435. The Pleasure+ is powered by 110.9cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 8 bhp and a torque of 8.7 Nm. With both front and rear drum brakes, Hero Pleasure+ comes up with combined braking system of both wheels. This Pleasure+ scooter weighs 104 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 4.8 liters.

The Pleasure is Hero’s entry-level scooter which is mainly targeted at female riders. It received a significant makeover in 2019 with an all-new styling, more features and a larger 110cc engine, as opposed to the 102cc motor of its predecessor.

Hero had introduced the new Pleasure Plus with a carbureted engine. However, in order to adhere to new BS6 emission regulations, it features fuel-injection now. The power figures continue to stand at 8bhp and 8.7Nm and Hero claims the revised motor is 10 per cent more fuel efficient and accelerates better as compared to its BS4 version.

The Pleasure Plus boasts of a graceful design with smooth flowing lines across its bodywork. The bold headlamp houses conventional bulbs and so do the apron-mounted turn indicators while the tail lamp is an LED setup. The instrumentation comprises of a basic fully analogue unit. Hero also offers the scooter in Xtec trim which gets LED projector headlamp and Bluetooth connectivity for smartphone pairing.

Keeping everyday convenience in mind, Hero has equipped the Pleasure with a decently-sized under seat storage space, a pair of front pockets and two luggage hooks on the front. There’s now a new Platinum edition that gets blacked out paint scheme with lots of chrome finish all around. Moreover, the top-end Xtec variant comes adorned with Jubilant Yellow paint scheme.

The new Hero Pleasure Plus BS6 competes against the TVS Scooty Zest 110, Honda Activa 6G and the TVS Jupiter 110.

Hero Pleasure + Expert Opinion

After almost 14 years of existence, Hero MotoCorp decided to give a major facelift to the Pleasure. It’s now called the Pleasure Plus and gets some big aesthetic and mechanical updates because ‘Why should boys have all the fun?’

Introduction

After almost 14 years of existence, Hero MotoCorp decided to give a major facelift to the Pleasure. It’s now called the Pleasure Plus and gets some big aesthetic and mechanical updates because ‘Why should boys have all the fun?’ Thanks to its compact design and lightweight – the Pleasure was the first choice for girls who were entering the world of two-wheel commuting. But the lack of newness and old design resulted in decrease sales and brand recall. So the new Pleasure Plus has been launched to address the concerns of the new world.

The Visuals

The Pleasure Plus offers a good amount of freshness, thanks to the retro design language. The big headlamp and the large plastic unit flanked by turn indicators makes the scooter look a bit bigger and more attractive. The side angle showcases some curvy lines that flows really well throughout. At the rear, there’s a bit of aggression due the presence of a sharper tail lamp unit.

The instrument cluster is a bit better than the old Pleasure but still looks dull and uninspiring. For a 2019 model, Hero could have equipped with a much nicer looking cluster. But the company has played really well with the colours. They are bright, have the matte options and have a total of six. So there’s a big variety for the Indian market.

The Package

The Pleasure Plus is for the entry-level customers. So in order to keep the price in check, Hero has equipped the Pleasure Plus with basic features only. So things like 10-inch wheels, two front gloveboxes and integrated braking system are present. There’s a USB phone charger present as well, but its placement could be a bit problem as there will be a wire dangling right in front of the legs.

Surprisingly, the Pleasure Plus misses out on the i3s start stop system. It’s a city scooter, and just like the rest of the Hero two-wheelers, this should have gone one too.

The Ride

The Pleasure Plus is peppier and faster than the Pleasure, and the credit goes to the new 110cc engine. This one makes around 8bhp and peak torque of 8.7Nm which is around 16 per cent and 7 per cent more than the older engine respectively. The engine is smooth, has the oomph to get around tight situations pretty easily and linear. The throttle response too, is crisp.

This Hero reaches around 70kmph pretty comfortably. Try to go over that, and you would be disappointed. The best place to sit around is between 45kmph and 50kmph and that’s the ideal city speeds. Post that, vibrations kick in and could be felt on the floorboard.

The Pleasure Plus behaved quite well in the Delhi traffic. The compact dimensions and lightweight made it easy to pull through crazy airport traffic. The scooter feels agile, but lacks the stability as it is equipped with 10-inch wheels at both end. Plus, due to the smaller wheels, the floorboard had to be raised so that the scooter can go through Indian speed breakers easily. On the downside, it feels cramped for taller individuals. The trailing arm front suspension setup worked decent, but we are yet to test it exhaustively on bad roads. The Pleasure Plus gets decent set of brakes. For a beginner, it works efficiently and gets the job done without any drama.

Conclusion

The 2019 Pleasure Plus is a great looking scooter. But more importantly, it still retains the two most important traits of the scooter – lightweight and compact dimensions. With these in place, and a good pricing of Rs 47,300 for the drum variant and Rs 49,700 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the disc variant (ex-showroom Delhi),  the Pleasure Plus makes a perfect option for someone who is looking for an easy to ride and live with scooter.

      Amit Kumar Sharda

I purchased hero pleasure on November 2008. I am very much satisfied with my hero pleasure. It is running nicely and in good condition at present. I am planning to purchase a new one in coming week. Undoubtedly hero pleasure again. I will not sell my old hero pleasure as it is running well. I strongly recommend hero pleasure.

Bad scooter mileage showing 25 to 30 mac after 3 years and 6 months of use.

      Rabinarayan Dash

It's been 3 and half year I'm ridding this scooter, sad part is the mileage drastically gone down to 25 -30,how bad it can be. This is the worst case scenario of our Indian company hero. Waste of money, we used it for very minimal use, bad bad company, don't buy any thing from hero. Pros: smooth riding, lighter weight.

      Nitesh Kumar

Best performance scooty. Breaking is good. Any one can ride this scooty. Better than activa 2g 3g 4g 5g 6g etc. So every one should buy hero pleasure plus scooty. I bought pleasure plus scooty and I found no vibration at top speed 90 km per hour. So no vibration issues even at top speed. Balance and refined engine, bs 6 fueling system.

      Light weight people

      Shivesh

According to me this scooty is only for light people who have less weight
Because when people above 50kg sit on this it will make too much noise
And I think as I am 70 kg it is the worst scooty for me
So people as it makes too much noise while starting.
