The Ignitor was launched in 2012, just after the company was rechristened to Hero MotoCorp. The Ignitor and its twin, the CBF Stunner are a part of the competitive 125cc segment, though the former manages to edge ahead in terms of styling, owing to the host of cosmetic updates.
Cosmetic updates like the redesigned body panels, front cowl new graphics and body-coloured rear-view mirror set the Ignitor apart from the Stunner. The bike also gets a digital-analogue instrument console. Despite the styling, the Ignitor is an outright commuter bike. The upright seating position coupled with its light weight make the Ignitor agile and fun to ride in urban stop-go traffic.
The Ignitor is powered by the same air cooled, four stroke 124.7 cc SOHC engine which produces 11bhp and 11Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed constant mesh gearbox. Hero offers the Ignitor with optional disc brakes at the front while the rear wheels only get standard drums.
The Ignitor is offered in five colour schemes- pearl white, vibrant blue, sports red, panther black metallic and flaming orange. Priced at Rs 60,200 for the disc and Rs 58,200 for the drum variant, the Ignitor goes up against other 125cc commuter bikes like the Honda CBF Stunner, Bajaj Pulsar 135LS, Suzuki Slingshot Plus and the Yamaha SS 125.
The ARAI mileage of Hero Ignitor is 55 kmpl. The average of the Ignitor is 50 kmpl, as per the owners of the bike.

This is my first bike. I really love to ride it. Its superb in performance. In style its looks like a sports bike. Mileage is great. Speed is awesome. Maintenance cost is very low. I purchased it in 2015. Since that day no complains. I don't understand why hero moto discontinued such a nice bike?? i urged them please relaunch the ignitor.

It's a very good bike. I have owned this bike for 10 years. I never face any serious problems with my bike, I ride it over 1lakh km. The hero should have to relaunch this bike again. I am fully satisfied with my bike. But my difficulty is finding his parts. It shouldn't available in the market or showroom. Why hero you discontinued this bike? It's such a very reliable bike.

Hero should relaunch this bike as many people are waiting for this bike to be relaunched. Please hero bring back this bike. One of my friend have this bike i always exchange my pulsar 220 for ignitor. i love riding the ignitor. Hero should again continue to launch this bike. If hero launches this bike again i will be the first person to buy it.
