Bajaj Auto recently launched the updated Pulsar NS160 in India. It has received new features for 2024 and sits below the Pulsar NS200.
The new Bajaj Pulsar NS160 looks sporty and youthful with its sleek design and muscular bodywork. Although the fascia looks similar to that of the previous iteration, the headlight internals have been updated with twin thunder-shaped LED DRLs and the main lights in between. Then, the overall rider triangle and other bits on the 2024 Pulsar NS160 remain unchanged.
The updated Bajaj Pulsar NS160 retains the 160cc, single-cylinder motor that makes 17.03bhp and 14.6Nm. It is mated to a five-speed gearbox.
Bajaj has equipped the Pulsar NS160 with telescopic front forks and a monoshock. Its brakes include a front and rear disc with ABS. These are mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped in MRF tyres.
The Bajaj Pulsar NS160 now gets a new digital instrument cluster. Along with the standard readouts, the new unit comes with smartphone connectivity. It allows the rider to pair his/her phone with the screen and get access to SMS and call notifications, battery levels, and more data.
The 2024 Bajaj Pulsar NS160 rivals the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V and Hero Xtreme 160R. With its new asking price of Rs. 1,45,792 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new Pulsar NS160 costs about Rs. 10,000 more than the dual-channel model.

The price of the bike is okay less than other 150 cc bikes But the riding experience says that it's uncomfortable for driver and pillow the seat is hard and the posture when we ride on long tour then the body will badly hurtOverall look and performance is also okay but at the time of 1 yrs the bike mileage is decreased by 45 to 30Servicing and maintenance is okay for the middle class but it's hard to maintain when the mileage is decreased.

Buying Experience:The buying experience for the Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 is generally smooth, with Bajaj's widespread dealership network making it easily accessible. Dealerships often offer attractive financing options, making it appealing for budget-conscious buyers.Riding Experience:The riding experience on the NS 160 is exhilarating, thanks to its peppy performance and agile handling. It handles city streets with ease, making it a fantastic commuter bike. The upright seating position provides good comfort for long rides, although taller riders might find it slightly cramped.Look and Performance:The Pulsar NS 160 sports a sporty and aggressive design that appeals to younger riders. Its sharp lines and muscular tank give it a distinct presence on the road. Performance-wise, the 160cc engine delivers a punchy power output, making it fun to ride both in the city and on the highway. The six-speed gearbox ensures smooth gear shifts, enhancing the overall riding experience.Service and Maintenance:Bajaj's service network is extensive, ensuring easy access to maintenance and spare parts. Service intervals are reasonable, and routine maintenance costs are affordable. However, occasional issues with build quality and reliability have been reported, which may require more frequent visits to the service center.Pros:1. Stylish and aggressive design.2. Peppy performance for city riding.3. Comfortable seating position.4. Affordable maintenance costs.5. Wide service network.Cons:1. Build quality issues reported by some users.2. Reliability concerns in some cases.3. Cramped seating for taller riders.4. Limited aftermarket accessories compared to competitors.5. Could benefit from more features for its price range.Overall, the Bajaj Pulsar NS 160 offers a compelling package for riders looking for a stylish and agile commuter bike with decent performance. While it has its drawbacks, its affordability and fun-to-ride nature make it a popular choice in its segment.
