    इलेक्ट्रिक बाइक एक ऐसे टाइप का साधन है, जिसमें इंटरनल कम्बशन इंजन की जगह इलेक्ट्रिक मोटर होता है। यह बैटरीज़ में संचयित ऊर्जा के ज़रिए इलेक्ट्रिक मोटर्स का इस्तेमाल कर आगे बढ़ता है। इलेक्ट्रिक बाइक्स में टेलपाइप नहीं होती, तो इससे प्रदूषण भी नहीं होता। इलेक्ट्रिक बाइक्स में ज़्यादा हिलते-डुलते पार्ट्स नहीं होते, इस वजह से ये वीइकल्स चलते वक़्त आवाज़ नहीं करते हैं। जैसा कि इसमें कम ऐसे पार्ट्स हैं, जो ​हिलते-डुलते हैं, तो इसे मेंटेंन करने की कुल क़ीमत पेट्रोल-पावर्ड दो-पहिया से कम होती है।

  • पेट्रोल से अलग

    The running cost of Electric Bikes is considerably lower than petrol bikes. One full charge costs a few hundred rupees and in some cases, even lower. However, a full tank of petrol for ICE two-wheelers costs a lot these days due to ever growing fuel prices. In short as well as long term, the running costs of Electric bikes is much lower than petrol bikes. The riding range and mileage of electric bikes as compared to petrol bikes are lower and this has to do with the size of the batteries and the motor. Larger batteries will churn out better riding range but that would increase the cost of the electric bike, making it out of reach for a lot of people. The speed of electric bikes are usually quite good, when it comes to acceleration, but the top-speed are mostly lower for low-speed electric bikes whereas for high-speed Electric bikes, the top speed can be equal or more in some cases, than petrol-bikes. Electric bikes require lesser maintenance as there are lesser moving parts as compared to petrol vehicles. So, the overall cost of maintaining an electric bike is lower as of now. It could get a bit higher as there are few brands coming in with chain drive. Two-wheelers with chain drive requires more maintenance. It needs to be adjusted, cleaned and lubed on regular basis to get the best performance.

  • Electric Bike Charging

    The primary charging points for electric bikes are at home. These charging points can be installed either at your building parking spot or inside the bungalow parking area. All E-bikes come with a charging equipment. This will be installed by the company either before the delivery of the vehicle or post-delivery. The charging point is taken from the house’s main board, as the overall electricity consumption from charging will be linked to your home electricity connection. Some brands usually charge extra for the wire if the line to the mainboard is longer. The secondary charging points can be at commercial complexes like malls, outside cafes and in your office parking. Most of the time, these points are offered to anyone who visits these establishments with their electric bikes. The battery life of electric bike depends on various factors like total charging done, temperature, number of charging cycles. Usually, batteries have a life between 5 and 7 years.

  • Electric Bike Performance

    One of the main reasons why a lot of people swear by electric bikes is due to the kind of performance it churns out. Electric bikes generate maximum torque as soon as the throttle is used. This results in excellent acceleration and eventually reach a top speed as quickly as possible. The performance of E-bikes is far better than petrol-powered bikes, which makes it an exciting vehicle to own. The speed and range of an electric bike depends on the electric motor size and also the battery. The bigger the motor and battery, the more power and high riding range. However, the cost of batteries and making better motors increases quite a bit which results in an expensive electric vehicle.

  • Electric Bike Subsidy

    Subsidies is a process through which the government of India reduces the prices of electric vehicles in India. This is usually done to make electric bikes attractive when it comes to its price point and make people adopt these types of vehicles. Subsidies are provided by the central government as well as state governments. However, the exact amount varies from state to state. These subsidies are availed by the electric bike manufacturer and passed on to the customers directly at the time of purchasing.

  • Electric Bike License

    Driving license is mandatory to ride an electric bike in India. However, if an electric vehicle has a maximum speed limit of or up to 25kmph, there’s no need for a driving licence as these vehicles don’t need to be registered with any RTO. Learner’s licence is needed for electric bikes above 25kmph top speed.

  • Electric Bike Insurance

    Electric bike industry is still in a very nascent stage in India. As a result, there’s no different set of guidelines prescribed by IRDAI when it comes to insurance for electric bikes. A preferable plan can be selected from the existing two-wheeler insurance policies by selecting from one of the two options – third-party and comprehensive policies. Majority of the insurance companies could also provide addons like zero depreciation insurance.

The buying process was seamless, all handled from the comfort of my home, which was a refreshing experience. This ease and efficiency earned it a solid 4 out of 5 rating from me. The riding experience is truly remarkable. Whether it’s navigating through city traffic or taking it off-road, the scooter handles all conditions with grace. The impressive range and comfortable speed make it a reliable companion for daily commuting. The cruise control feature is a standout, providing a smooth and effortless ride on straight roads at speeds above 35kmph. The scooter’s storage capacity is a game-changer. It easily accommodates my regular groceries and even has room for a helmet and a bag. Two helmets came as a bundle. That means extra protection for your riding partner. The seats are wide and comfortable, allowing for long rides without any discomfort. While the looks may not be its strongest point, the semi-naked dashboard and headlight add a unique charm to it. The scooter definitely turns heads wherever it goes. The storage is well-designed, comfortably fitting two helmets or a helmet and a bag, with some room to spare for small items. The range is more than sufficient for daily commuting. A full charge can last me three days with an average commute distance of 20km. The battery-saver mode extends the range to 120km at a speed of 30kmph, which is perfect for slow-moving traffic. For those seeking a thrill, the sports mode offers a range of around 80-90km. The leg space is somewhat limited but still adequate for holding parcels or small boxes. The EV’s connectivity with the phone, allowing it to act as a wireless key, is a neat feature, although it does require Bluetooth and location to be always ON. The servicing can be a bit costly due to the assembly of some parts as one. For instance, when my brake lever chipped, the entire brake assembly had to be replaced, costing me 2000 instead of a few hundred. However, the service was quick. Maintenance is straightforward and smooth. I charge my EV every third day and only need to check the tire pressure from time to time. Pros: 1. Excellent vehicle for daily commuting with a good range. 2. Smooth cruise control. 3. Unique and stylish look. 4. Three modes: Battery Saver, Normal, Sports. 5. Maximum range of up to 120km in Battery Saver mode. 6. Ample storage. 7. Comfortable seats. 8. Reverse assist feature. Cons: 1. A bit bulky and heavy. 2. High seats, which may pose difficulties for shorter individuals. 3. Long charging time. 4. Maneuverability is somewhat stiff, making it difficult to navigate tight spots. In conclusion, the Ola S1X+ is a fantastic blend of style, performance, and convenience. It’s a reliable and efficient choice for daily commuting, offering a smooth and comfortable ride. Despite a few minor drawbacks, it’s a ride I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a stylish and efficient electric scooter. It’s not just about getting from point A to point B, it’s about enjoying the journey. With the Ola S1X+, every ride is a joyride.

    Please don't buy it. Worst riding and service experience. Within a year lock was damaged 2 times and in turning and the speed breaker the vehicle gave an alert buzzing sound and the vehicle stopped running. Repaired about 10 times but the technician doesn't know how to repair changing software and sensor and charging for lock and sensor. But can't able to remove the alert. Above all side stand retract. The vehicle can stop running anywhere and restart doesn't work unless you again retract the side stand to start running horribly can get an accident anywhere with this system
