Hero Bikes User Reviews

  • Hero Xtreme 125R
Hero Xtreme is powerful beast of 125 cc segment
    1 week ago
    Himanshu Sharma
Review of the Hero Xtreme 125R 1. Buying Experience The buying experience for the Hero Xtreme 125R is generally smooth and satisfactory. Hero MotoCorp, being one of the leading two-wheeler manufacturers in India, ensures that their dealerships provide excellent customer service. The sales staff are knowledgeable and helpful, offering detailed information about the bike’s features, financing options, and any ongoing promotions. The process from inquiry to delivery is streamlined, making it hassle-free for customers. 2. Riding Experience The Hero Xtreme 125R offers an impressive riding experience, especially for urban commuters. Its 125cc engine provides a good balance of power and fuel efficiency. The bike is lightweight, which makes it easy to handle in city traffic and nimble enough for quick maneuvers. The suspension system absorbs road bumps effectively, ensuring a comfortable ride even on rough roads. The riding posture is ergonomic, reducing fatigue on longer rides. However, the bike might feel slightly underpowered on highways compared to higher displacement mode 3. Looks and Performance In terms of looks, the Xtreme 125R is sporty and modern. It features a sharp headlamp design, muscular fuel tank, and stylish graphics that appeal to younger riders. The digital-analog instrument cluster is informative and adds a premium touch to the bike. Performance-wise, the 125cc engine delivers a power output of around 10-12 HP, which is adequate for city commuting. The bike accelerates smoothly and has a reliable braking system with optional disc brakes for added safety. The fuel efficiency is commendable, often delivering around 50-55 km/l, making it an economical choice for daily use. 4. Servicing and Maintenance Hero MotoCorp’s extensive service network ensures that servicing and maintenance are convenient and affordable. Regular servicing is straightforward, with most parts readily available at authorized service centers. The service staff are trained and efficient, often providing quick turnaround times. Maintenance costs are relatively low, which is a significant advantage for budget-conscious riders. The bike’s build quality is robust, requiring minimal unscheduled maintenance if properly cared for. 5. Pros and Cons Pros: -Affordability: Priced competitively, making it accessible for a wide range of customers. -Fuel Efficiency: Excellent mileage, which is ideal for daily commuting. -Comfortable Ride: Good suspension and ergonomic design ensure a comfortable riding experience. - Stylish Design: Modern and sporty looks that appeal to young riders. - Service Network:Extensive and reliable service network with affordable maintenance costs. Cons: - Power Limitation:May feel underpowered on highways or for aggressive riding. - Basic Features: Lacks some advanced features that are becoming common in newer bikes. - Resale Value:Being a lower displacement bike, the resale value might not be as high as some competitors. Overall, the Hero Xtreme 125R is an excellent choice for those looking for a stylish, fuel-efficient, and affordable motorcycle for city commuting. It offers a good blend of performance, comfort, and economy, backed by Hero’s reliable service network. While it may not be the best choice for high-speed highway cruising, it excels in its intended urban environment.

I purchased the black coloured hero splendor plus in a showroom near Malkajgiri it was a nice experience and my first ride was very smooth and clean engine sound it look very clean and black and mainly the mileage is the best part of this bike we were servicing the bike for every 6 months we can go as long as distance as it gives more mileage if we go in a certain limit of speed which is one of the advantages of this bike and it also has a "I3S" Which make bike more special.

Engine: Splendor is very useful for daily commuting people and has less maintenance and nearly 8 bhp power enough for the city. Style: both youth and family members can drive this look-wise decent. Mileage: it's a 100 cc bike you don't worry about mileage give 60-75 based on your driving may vary and proper maintenance.

  • Hero Xpulse 200 4V
Hero Xpulse 200 4V: Balancing Performance and Expectations
    4 days ago
    Harshitha Priya S
After two years and 30,000 kilometres of riding the Hero Xpulse 200 4V, I've developed a nuanced perspective on its capabilities and limitations. While the bike presents itself as a robust adventure tourer, my extended experience reveals a mix of strengths and shortcomings. This review will detail the bike's performance, features, and areas needing improvement, helping prospective buyers make an informed decision. Specifications and Features : The Hero Xpulse 200 4V is designed as an adventure tourer and off-road bike, featuring: Engine: 199.6 cc, oil-cooled, 4-stroke, 4-valve single-cylinder OHC Power: 19.17 PS at 8500 rpm Torque: 17.35 Nm at 6500 rpm Brakes: Disc brakes both front and rear Fuel Capacity: 13 liters Mileage: 51.59 kmpl (claimed in the city), but real-world figures are around 40 kmpl in the city and 45 kmpl on highways. Body Type: Adventure Tourer and Off-Road Bike Key features include single-channel ABS, daytime running lights (DRLs), Bluetooth connectivity, multiple riding modes (Road and Off-Road), navigation, an adjustable windshield, and a fully digital instrument cluster. Performance and Riding Experience : The Xpulse 200 4V is versatile, performing well on various terrains. Its off-road capabilities are impressive, thanks to a compliant suspension and nimble handling. The bike excels on broken city roads and mountain trails, offering a fun and confident ride. However, its long-distance touring claims come with significant caveats. City and Off-Road Performance : In urban settings, the bike's agility and manageable size make it a good commuter. The digital instrument cluster, navigation, and Bluetooth connectivity enhance convenience. The suspension effectively absorbs city bumps, making for a comfortable ride. Off-road, the Xpulse shines with its torque delivery and gearing. The riding position and handlebar configuration ensure control and comfort, even on challenging trails. The bike's off-road tyres and robust build inspire confidence across varied terrains. Highway Performance : On highways, the Xpulse 200 4V can maintain speeds of 120-140kmph comfortably. Beyond this, vibrations become noticeable, particularly on the handlebars. Aftermarket grips and quality riding gloves can mitigate this to some extent. However, the bike struggles with sustained high-speed runs, often overheating and developing engine problems after 150-200 km of continuous riding. This limits its appeal as a long-distance tourer. Reliability and Maintenance Issues : Despite its strengths, the Xpulse 200 4V requires significant maintenance. The engine's reliability has been a concern, with issues arising early in long rides. The cooling system is inadequate, leading to overheating and potential engine damage during prolonged use. Additionally, components like the exhaust often produce a "rattler" noise, and parts such as the cone set and racks deteriorate quickly. Regular maintenance is crucial, but even with diligent care, the bike has experienced multiple breakdowns and trips to the workshop. These reliability issues diminish the overall riding experience and confidence in the bike's long-term performance. Value for Money : With an approximate on-road price nearing 3 lakhs, the Xpulse 200 4V falls short of expectations in terms of reliability and long-distance touring capability. While it excels in off-road performance and city commuting, the frequent need for repairs and maintenance detracts from its value proposition. Prospective buyers should weigh these factors, considering the bike's strengths against its significant shortcomings.
