  • Not a practical bike for city commute

    Amith

I am writing this review after riding for 500 km. I have driven as a solo rider and for most parts i have driven with the pillion rider. I bought this bike for my daily commute to office which is about 16km from home. I have driven in peak traffic conditions passing through Silk Board area in Bangalore.
    Looks
This bike surely is a head turner will have resemblance to Harley Davidson. 5/5
    Seats
Default/stock seats are decent for rider and pillion without any laptop bags. But when rider and pillion wear laptop bag its not comfortable. The seats are not very comfortable for long rides. 3/5
    Engine
This engine has load of torque, its easy to overtake a vehicle. If you are driving in a bumper to bumper traffic like bangalore. The engine gets heated easily and you start hearing the sound of radiator. The radiator sound is quite loud and its very irritating both for rider and pillion. Only good thing about the engine is you can just drive fast apart from that nothing else. 1/5
    Gear Shifting
This bike has 6 Gears and it has short gearing ratio. You should constantly keep changing the gear. If the gears are not changed then engine stops which is kind of disappointing. You need to constantly be on throttle. 0/5
    Brakes
The breaks are really good, the dual disc does it job. 4/5
    Maneuvering
Although this bike weighs 184 kg the weight management is brilliant. You don't feel that weight, it's easy to maneuver in busy traffic even with pillion.4/5
Overall this bike looks very good from the outside. But the engine heating, loud radiator sound, frequent gear shifting and engine cutting off during lower torques is a big disappointment. Although this looks like a cruiser it isn't, at the same time not a practical bike for city commute.
Although Yezdi has made a comeback after long time, its very likely they have not considered the practicalities of Indian Roads and Traffic Conditions.

  • Few more improvements needed to become a true roadster.

    Gangadhar

    1. Buying experience was great, showroom staffs were very friendly.
    2. After riding 800km, here is my honest review.
the clutch is on the heavier side, at a lower speed in traffic shifting gears continuously becomes difficult.
highway ride quality, touring quality are good. The seat is comfortable for both driver and pillion.
if you are looking for only a city ride, I don't suggest this bike
since the power is more, there is obviously more heating.
    3. Look wise this bike is awesome, you will get noticed everywhere.
    turning radius is good.
if you are 5'3" and above you can easily ride this bike.
I didn't like the bike's sound at lower speeds, since it is a short-stroke engine. Also as the radiator kicks in the sound
    becomes very noisy.
    4. Service was great in Bangalore, btm layout center.
the downside is even after 2 months of buying accessories are not available.
service is quite costly. 1750rs for the first service.
after 1st service engine has become quite smooth.
    5. Pros.
looks, performance, and breaking are great. Many metal parts feel reliable.
    cons.
heating, heavy clutch, and gear shifts.
the finishing could have been better.

Awesome better than meteor and honda offering. Top speed 140kmph..Milege around 32 to 35...Bike is little big not for dwarfs like people atleast 5fit 3 inch required to ride this bike comfortably. Initial pickup is solid even better than my friend rs 200...Actually this bike looks classic but have sports bike engine. Liquid cooling works fantastically.

  • The king is back to conquer its quest again.

    Varun

    1. Excellent buying experience I got. 2. I have canceled the meteor 350 for this bike because of its looks and power. This bike can even beat all the 200cc sports bikes which the royal Enfield can't. 3. So it was a perfect combo of comfort and speed + muscular looks for me. My first service was done and now the bike has gotten more smooth than before and gives more mileage as well. 5. If you guys want a genuinely good option then go for Yezdi roadster another stay with the crowd and go for RE. My city doesn't have a honda so I can't judge it properly. But still, I love my beast roadster.

  • Rough ride quality

    Pratik A

This bike is too good to ride on highways. Within the city and traffic conditions riding this bike is a challenge as the ride quality is rough not very comfortable, this bike has lot of power which might not be required if you are ride in traffic areas, because of this you constantly need to keep shifting the gears. In city, i am getting only around 25 km mileage. In highways i get 31km mileage. The biggest problem with this bike is the loud radiator fan sound which makes too much noise can't really enjoy the ride. Giving 2 stars only for the good looks.

  • All show and no work major problems with roadster within 3 months of usage

    Joyneel Dey

So after riding for good 2,056 kilometers on city and highway roads I will tell you what actually is the experience
    Pros:
    1) engine ride quality is amazing
    2) pickup is good
    Cons
    1) engine heating issue every now and then causing it difficult to ride
    2) poor mileage, barely 25 - 27
    3) battery problems
    4) engine starts to face issues every now and then causing it to a complete halt in the middle of the road
    5) gear pedal becomes very hard when changing from 1st to 2nd
    6) rust problems, in just 3 months of usage and with very minimal water contact during the rainy season it has started to rust significantly in the exhaust and radiator part
Finally, I want to say, go for royal Enfield it's way much better than these bikes which are all show and no work.

  • Complete package for performance lovers

    Nitin Teotia

I bought this bike from Asco-Patparganj, the buying experience was smooth, it is a heavy bike with a full metal body, and it offers a great package of power and comfort,
    Review points-:
Riding comfort-: it offers you great riding comfort for both rider and pillion.
    Pros:-
Road presence:- wonderful road presence looks fantastic and is a head turner.
Build quality-: top notch with 194kg kerb weight.
Clutch and gearbox:- smooth 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch ( not in June 2022 or before models)
Suspensions:- little stiff but more on the comfort side you will glide over potholes
Engine performance:- 30.2ps / 30bhp, liquid-cooled engine, you will not find lag in power
On-road stability:- amazing it just sticks itself firmly on road.
Ground clearance-: 175mm (best in its class)
Seat height:- 790mm ( riders below 5"7 will find it uncomfortable
    Cons:-
    Headlight:- not suitable for touring.
Small petrol tank:- only 12.5 ltrs.
    Limited service and spare network.
It is better than royal enfield bikes in its category like Classic 350 and Meteor 350.

I ride this bike roadster 4 months now, and apart from looks nothing special. Sound not good, heating issue you can’t keep your legs, after 1000 km having issues of the frequent engine off while driving. Not reliable bike go with re . Mileage around 20-25 max
I didn’t find anything special. I avoided re and bought this now feel my decision is bad.

    Mani Kanta

    1. To buy this bike is lovable
    2. While I'm riding this roadster is killing performance
    3. It looks like a road king
    4. Service is good
    5. While riding were the helmet and hand gloves to feel the riding experience.
    6. Maintenance charges are reasonable to pick up the best performance compared to other bikes.
