My First bike. Why Yamaha discontinues this I don't know, may be for MT15, but this bike has everything a good commute bike possesses. There may be some features missing like the engine kill switch, digital instrument cluster, tubeless tire, etc. but these are compromised against the price. In this price range, nothing compared.

In 2013 I bought the Yamaha Sz-r bike. Overall the bike's performance is amazing. The long drive is superb with decent mileage. The sitting position is very good. I feel like riding a horse. The shock absorber is good. Rear drum brake and front disc brakes are very smooth. The pickup is very good. I love it.

Using it since 2013 and best bike ever driven. I don't know why the company discontinued this bike. This bike is a gem and it gives minimum mileage of 48km/l. On the highway, it gives 52-55 km/l. In a city where there is no traffic, it crosses 50 mark mileage.
Looks are head-turning. This bike demands servicing every 3000kms and you should respect that. Service this bike regularly and this bike will never disappoint you.
Its headlight is a little low and at night you will face difficulty in riding it but overall this bike's performance is really good.

Superb engine. Very much refined. I am using 2011 model of yamaha sz-r. My experience was amazing. Very much refined. It used to share similar engine which was in fz 150. Nobody can touch yamaha sz-r, fz and honda unicorn in case of refined engine in 150 cc category. From 2011 till mt and new generation bikes.
Still they are best bike. In comparison to many latest bike. Very premium in case of quality.

Bike was amazing, good riding experience, better road grip. Con is no mileage i am getting 38 km/l. I have driven 87895 km till date The experience is good in my 87000/km ride. Good power delivery, Engine is similar to fz, Good looking bike and good riding experience. The carburetor issue and mileage issue is routine.

This bike was blessed with high speed and has very comfortable braking system. This bike is very similar to TVS RTR and seating capacity is very good. This bike is very fast running in village road. This bike is looking very similar with Pulser 200.

Yamaha engine can even run on bad spark plugs and the wear tear of clutch plate is not felt since engine refinement and power delivery remain undisturbed due to awesome engineering. So whoever is getting less mileage on szr fz or any Yamaha bike, just changing the spark plug and setting carburetor freshly and if required changing the air filter can get mileage above 45 easily.
