A commuter bike never looked this good
Rajnil
In 2015, i decided to move up from my 2005 honda dio to a bike from the 150 cc segment. I initially considered buying the honda cb unicorn, but after been poorly served by a salesperson at the honda showroom, i rushed to the nearest yamaha showroom (was considering only japanese alternatives because of their fair performance and incredible reliability).
After i bought my bike out-right, i was given a complimentary helmet (really cheap one) and cover for the bike. As i moved from a scooter to a bike, i found the riding experience comfortable and dynamically superior. Other commuter bikes look pale in comparison to the sz rr v 2.0 with its two-tone paint scheme, front air scoops (with tasteful vinyl graphics) bolted onto the tank and split handle for the pillion rider.
I am a relatively new bike rider but i'll go ahead and say this - the bike begs to be up-shifted at lower revs and torque is at best just enough (makes sense from yamaha's pov since it's meant for commuting and is more about mileage and less about performance). So, riding pleasure at high speeds is missing (i managed to hit 110 kmph) and begs for an extra gear.
Although the technicians did a good job every time, service experience is strictly alright and is miles away from honda (yamaha india has a lot of catching up to do). With fair maintenance costs coupled with reasonable mileage (hence lower fuel costs), makes living with the sz rr v 2.0 a manageable affair.
But i have to end this review with a caveat - buying this bike can be a double-edged sword. The sz rr v 2.0 isn't the most popular bike in yamaha's stable (making it rare and more noticeable when on the street) but at the same time finding spares can be problematic (speaking from experience here). I anticipate finding spare parts more challenging in the future and hence would advise against buying it (especially if you are planning to hold onto a bike for 5+ years).
Cheers!

Very good bike , i have bought it in october 2016 and now its near 2 years with me . If service on time and engine oil change ( i use 10 w 40 7100 motul for every 4000 interval of change ) should change on time . I have not spent a single money behind engine except i change speedometer wire cable for 3 times till now and clutch cable , accelerator cable for once. I have also take it to north sikkim , actually gurudongmar lake ...Take it as a second hand is a good option .

Yamaha good brand but poor bike and service don't buy

Bike looks cool, stable even in high speed, suspension is good, break great. Buy bike not reliable, engine stops.
Purchased new version which headlights always on. After delivery while returning to home on the way engine stopped and need to push to reach home. Next day service people came and replaced battery. Same day when i was going to office again it stopped and push method works again to reach office. They took the bike and returned it after two days. Since then it run 200kms well but one day night in rain it stopped. Finally i need to wait for 2 hours and they took the bike back. Later after writings multiple emails they replaced it.
Now got new bike and it ran well till ride in rain. In bangalore water logging is common and one day after rain i tried to cross water logging as seen many people is doing, water level also not much. But engine stopped, water level was low than engine, even it was not touching my leg. I need to kick multiple time to reach home. Same thing again happened after few days after crossing another water logging. This time engine stopped issue not resolved. Again same story, they came and pickup the bike repair it buy this time i need to go there to take my bike. Service people said there was some issues with electric circuit and they has replace it. Since then i have not found any water logging and can't test if the issue permanently resolved or not.
After a week bike speed stopped working, went to them, they said it's speed meter wire need to replace but they font have any stock. Since then now 4th week is going on but still did not came.
Will you want to face such issues with new bike , price around 87,000+rs? my suggestion don't purchase yamaha bike better to go for honda, hero, bajaj or similar more reliable bike. Earlier since last 20 years i have used these bikes and never faced any issue even for used bike also.

1. Lots of issue at the time of buying by dealer side 2. Riding experience is mind blowing bike is more comfortable than any other bike specially for pillion.3. Looks wise it is decent, but performance wise it has lacks the power which is expected from 150 cc bike. Even average i got is 40 kmpl or below than this is big issue with bike 4. Servicing experience is not good dealer doesn't service the bike properly, maintenance wise i really suffer for every 1 and half month i have to replace some part even company fitted parts are i have to replace within a year 5. Pros - most comfortable for rider and pillion.Suspension is on softer side Cons - fuel efficiency is not good Power delivery is not adequate Maintenance is more than any other bike

Detailed review of yamaha sz rr v 2.0

Abhinandan Maity
This is a nice bike i bought january, 18 at 85000/- in total. This is very smooth on roads, suspension is good and comfortable to ride for semi long journey. It has a dashing sports looks with 149.3cc engine for which it can be used both as sports bike as well as commutator. Gives 48-52kmpl mileage according to road condition. Servicing is provided good till now by my authorised service centre and the bike needs low maintenance.Pros:* dashing look* sports commutator category so it is a intelligent buy for youngsters.* good mileage with exclusive blue core technology by yamaha*good servicing Cons:*it may be some uncomfortable to ride for short height persons because of its standard seat height compared to short seat height sports bikes or ordinary commutator bikes.#last of all a very important message to everyone- use good quality helmet before riding.. Safe drive, save life..

After purchasing my bike i was on the peak of the ride. But, take precautions in the first 1000 km race, which is the critical part of every bike engine, which needs to be adjusted to heat. Once I've finished 1000km, i thought i would wait a few kilometres and 200 km away, i got boarded with a border of 45. That's why today i do anymore able to get the best out of me loves his bike at high speed !! tvs apache, cb hornet 160, unicorn 160, pulsar best money range with 150 and profit in every area of ??profit. What is 150 others, only suzuki gixxer cooler beat it, but its price is much higher. And it was also recently started where this animal was ruling for 10 years and sold in of szrr 2.0 is sold all over the world i became a fan of yamha team. Hopefully i would like to tell you that this bike has made a special place in every owner's heart.

Will you want to face such issues with new bike , price around 87,000+rs? my suggestion don't purchase yamaha bike better to go for honda, hero, bajaj or similar more reliable bike. Earlier since last 20 years i have used these bikes and never faced any issue even for used bike also.

Good pickup, comfortable ride, easy handling in traffic, good at sharp turns.Personally am feeling that this bike is good for long trips too..
I went tirupati to bangalore ride twice. In this range bikes ,it performs good while cornering by comparing with other bikes,
It pulls more load , once i ride this with three of my friends in back and that too towards flyover road.
I love this bike.....

A commuter bike never looked this good
