When compared to other 125cc bikes, this one is better than to all. Because i am a mechanic. Yamaha is better for the engine while compared to other companies. Its my suggestion. Thank you.

About one year ago i purchase this failure model. When i purchase gear shifting hard noise in it . Today 4th service done every service i told them that solve my problem. When they deliver my bike and told me now your problem solved. But they can't solve problem. Great bike in all aspects. I have it since many months. Has the latest technology and makes the other 125 cc bikes look outdated and mediocre. Unfortunately, the public has a herd mentality and only runs after certain popular brands. The saluto is the best.

There is not much awareness about this bike and i think dealers have failed in advertising this product in cities with the perception of not going to outsell, besides hero & honda. This is an awesome bike for daily commute in cities and small towns. Ubs with disc and light weight. Only bike with over 70kmpl (real conditions), though a 125cc.

I have bought this yamaha saluto disc in July 2016. I am getting around 70+ mileage as i go between 40-50 km/hr and without throttling . Riding comfort and stability is very good and looks are also good. Pros is turning radius is very short and cons is fuel capacity should be more and range of head lamp focus in city street lights is very dull.

Buying experience: the buying experience was hassle free Received my saluto with disc.Rating: 4/5Riding experience: to be honest when i bought the bike i had no knowledge of bikes at that time and simply fixed a budget and opted for yamaha as i have trust in them. So when i rode the bike it was a disappointment in terms of performance. It was very weak than a 100 cc bike. But in terms of refinement it was god level. The comfort for both the rider and the pillion is very good.Rating: 4/5Looks: the look is not very special but the matt green model was a good one.

Buying experience was very good at dealership...far better than Bajaj. Has enough power for daily city use. My daily use is of 30 to 40 kms. Seat comfort is good. I get Average of 70 to 80 km in 1.26 LTRS of petrol which roughly cost 100/- as of writing this review (after switching to synthetic oil) In mix riding conditions. I am using fully synthetic oil of Yamahalube 10W40 which is recommended for R15 and R3 ( make sure you pour only 800 ml of 1000ml ) And man the service of Yamaha is far far better than Bajaj or any other brand like Honda or Hero ( In my city ) so very much satisfied with Saluto.

Yamaha Saluto

16 July 2015
Ranjan R. Bhat

The Yamaha Saluto is a very perplexing motorcycle. Having established its roots in the more enthusiast-oriented 150cc segment with the FZ-S and the YZF-R15, Yamaha launched the Saluto as a replacement for the ageing SS125 with an eye on the lucrative 125cc commuter segment....
