This is my 3 rd bike as compare to 125 cc this bike very low performance as a 125 ps is only 8.2 ps . Feeling like just 100-110 cc bike. Company mileage is 78 but actual mileage given to me only about 53-56. Pros look is good . Engine performance on speed 60 also soft and free as compare to shine. And torque best climbing on hilly road easily on 3rd gear..

  • A very good budget friendly performance bike

    Ashutosh Dwivedi

It is a budget bike for a person who wish to use on daily basis. Very friendly environment in showroom.

Very comfortable riding experience. Seats are truly comfortable. It can be used for both daily and long riding experience.

Look wise it is damn good budget bike.

Design of fuel tank and tail lamp is so good. It doesn't require much maintenance. Only periodic servicing is enough.

  • Perfect 125cc commuter from yamaha

    Kaushik

Stylish 125cc commuter...Refinement and finishing of the engine is excellent... Have 245mm disc brake which is best in class... Wil get average 55kms mileage in city.. For city ride its awesome, long and comfortable seat, the riding position is perfect - no back pain even after long trip... Saw a video in youtube of saluto cruising at 130kmph...Good pickup..
Not that much good for highway cruising as its just 112kg lightweight... Gear shifting is a bit tight..Feels lack of 5th gear..

I am using it for approximately 1.5 years, its engine is superb, mileage is good till now, low oil consumption, brakes are awesome, self-start is great and the most likely thing is it looks it's modern looking plus under budget for many middle-class peoples, all riding lovers like me who can not afford above 80000/- could buy this.

    1. Bought with good hope, but from since i bought 2015 to till date (dec 2019) i didn't see 40+mileage.2. Riding is good but it could be more pickup, single is ok but double riding no pickup.3. Looks very good/awesome. Performance like engine still good condition. And the worst thing is headlight lamp/doom assembly not good, i changed that with the cost around 3.5k. For that i waited for more than 1 month.4. Yamaha is quality parts no doubt about it. But service is terrible. No recommended to buy any yamaha vehicles only for their service centres (that service stations mechanics less knowledge and even don't care about reassembly if once they dismantle the assembled parts.I had experience 3 times headlamp was not fitted properly on the way it was fell down, second time wheel axel was not tightened properly on the way it was lose luckily i observed and tightened by local mechanics. Etc5. Pros. ^good engine, ^good battery 4+years. ^good looking. cons. ^worst service centres all over bangalore ^worst mileage ^less pickup for double riding. Over all 2/5 ratings.

I purchase Yamaha Saluto 125 drum break on 06.07.2019. I review after 3 years of running 35000 km.
    Pros-
Run 40 average speed in local road milage give 72 km/ltr.
Sudden pickup is good compared with other bikes in the same range.
    Con:-
    Starting problem in winter season
Halogen light is deemed after a few days.
The main problem is the seat is very hard, not comfortable for long distances. Heavy use may be affected by the bone problems.

Buying experience: the buying experience was hassle free Received my saluto with disc.Rating: 4/5Riding experience: to be honest when i bought the bike i had no knowledge of bikes at that time and simply fixed a budget and opted for yamaha as i have trust in them. So when i rode the bike it was a disappointment in terms of performance. It was very weak than a 100 cc bike. But in terms of refinement it was god level. The comfort for both the rider and the pillion is very good.Rating: 4/5Looks: the look is not very special but the matt green model was a good one.

  • Amazing experience of Yamaha Saluto 125 CC

    Shivam Kumar

The Yamaha Saluto is an amazing Bike, Comfortable riding on this bike and an easy handling bike. Performance and Look both are amazing in this class bike. The servicing cost is very low. Only time-to-time servicing is done, No extra maintenance cost of this bike. If Yamaha did not close this bike sale, 100% of this bike would be a superb selling bike for Yamaha. Saluto is one of the best mileage, Low maintenance, and service cost riding performance bikes.
Request to Yamaha Company please relaunch of Saluto again.

Buying experience: the buying experience was hassle free from Dolphin yamaha, goregaon east, mumbai. The delivery was delayed by 5 days but every other thing was good. Received my matte green saluto with disc.Rating: 4/5. Riding experience: to be honest when i bought the bike i had no knowledge of bikes at that time and simply fixed a budget and opted for yamaha as i have trust in them. So when i rode the bike it was a disappointment in terms of performance. It was very weak than a 100 cc bike. But in terms of refinement it was good level. The comfort for both the rider and the pillion is very good.Rating: 4/5 looks: the look is not very special but the matt green model was a good one. Particularly when i bought in 2016 as people were not familiar with the model, they mistaken it for fz. I would say the front part is very nice and the rear is poor in terms of look.Rating: 4/5. Performance: this bike is a very poor performer, particularly in terms of acceleration. All 100 cc bikes accelerate better than this. Due to which overtaking at 50+ kmph will be a big task. The bike hits a top speed of 85 kmph which is again less than most of the 100 cc.Rating: 1/5. Reliability, refinement and durability: i have ridden 28000 kms in 33 months and this machine never felt fatigued. There are situations where i rode in top speed for 200-300 kms straight but this engine is a gem.The engine is so silent and vibration free that in traffic you will scared that the engine is not running, we have to rev to know. Yamaha showed their class here. I think if used for only commuting purpose(the actual purpose of this bike) this bike can last for a lakh kilometer.Rating: 5/5. Servicing and maintenance: the initial service was fine but after 16000 kms i faces throttle response/acceleration problems which the service centers were unable to solve. Even i changed the clutch plate assembly and other minor parts as per the service center guys but problem persisted till 27000 kms after which a mechanic from a service center found that there was dust settled in petrol tank and so in carburetor.Service cost was at higher side considering its performance. On an average the paid service costed me rs.1300. I am using the same tyres till now and the front tyres could run another 7000 kms and rear another 3000 kms. Rating : 3/5 pros: 1. Light weight 2. Very easy handling 3. Reliability and durability 4. Refinement 5. Looks 6. Comfort. Cons: 1. Very poor performance. 2. Bit costly service cost compared to counterparts.
