Not built for indian roads
Zeeshan
Style undoubtedly one of the best looking bikes on indian roads, even after almost a decade of its launch.
Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox its a 150cc bike, and rides like a 150cc bike. Not a super-sport, but pretty decent for the price tag (0 to 100kmph in about 12 seconds, top speed 135-140kmph on a straight level track).
It's been about 14 months that i've had this bike, and i have constantly got around 40 kmpl in city, and around 50 kmpl on highways.
Gearbox is smooth, although initially i faced a problem of stuck gears. The servicing guys patched that up really well.
Ride quality & handling this is both, the best and worst part of this bike. Superb handling in general. Feels light as a bicycle on corners. You will feel very confident in taking high speed corners. Although i feel it's not really made for the indian roads. Does not handle potholes on roads really well. The plastic quality used on the body is bad, and you'll start getting vibrations all over the bike if you ride it on rough roads for a long time.
For long smooth highway rides, it's perfect. You can cruise at 80-100 kmph on long rides without tiring yourself or the bike. Very often i ride at 80+ kmph constantly for 30+ kms and till now i haven't had any problems.
Final words value for money. Buy it if you're looking for an entry level sports bike which you can take on long tours (500+ kms). Dont buy it if you are expecting a true sports bike performance, or if you have someone that'll be sitting on that excuse of a pillion rider seat very often, or if you'll be riding on rough roads all the time.
Areas of improvement the headlamps. I literally feel blind on unlit roads at night.
The battery. Dies out if the headlamps and radiator are on for about 20 minutes. Also very unreliable recharging unit.
Pillion seat. You'll need a model for a girlfriend to sit on that. And she won't be your girlfriend for long if you make her sit on that everyday.
Pros
style, fuel economy, handling, reliability
cons
performance, headlamps, build quality

Young Indian sport bike !

This bike is one of them , that every young Indian dreamed. I am owning this bike from last 5 years and still I can surely commit that this is best bike in 150cc segment. this is first sport bike in India which comes with best in speed , performance and successful in between Indian youths , one thing I love about this bike is that anyone can afford it and can buy it still and one thing that I have experienced that if you kept this bike properly and provide it regular service, then after riding 30000 km still my engine is working fine and one more thing in my experience, I can say that no other bike can compete it in 150cc segments in any of form factors whether we talk about speed, thrust, power it deliver and in style also.

King of the 150cc Segment - Yamaha R15
People Call Me Ash
I bought a used R15 V2 to learn riding a sports bike and to improve my riding skills. According to me, R15 is an excellent bike for beginners. The bike os, not the smoothest one. It has a considerable amount of vibrations. It is mainly because it is a single cylinder and a high compression engine. Gear shifting is very smooth and precise. Overall there are no reliability issues since it is a YAMAHA. I learnt a lot of stuff on this bike like cornering, rev-matching, engine braking, counter-steering and so on.I have seen people complain about the riding posture. It is not very aggressive. It all depends on your fitness level. I have done many 1000kms long trip. And I have covered close to 550kms on a single day. Of course, you will feel tired but it is not that uncomfortable. As far as looks are concerned there are no haters for this design. The performance is the best in class. No other 150 cc bike can compete with the R15.Maintainance cost is a bit high. It will cost you close to 2k per service. And I am not very satisfied with Yamaha's servicing.P.S I have covered close to 40k kms in my bike.Pros:Powerful engine for city commutes and weekend rides.Very Stable at speeds above 130kmph.Cruising speed of 120kmph is great considering a 150cc engine.Maintainance cost is pretty decent and easy on the pocket.Great looks. Definitely a head turner. An affordable everyday supersport.Cons:Lack of ABS.Poor Headlights despite having twin headlamps.Vibrations near the redline. The MRF tyres aren't that great. Michelin Radial tyres would be a better option.

This is only for showing the style in front of girls .The bike cost is good .And mileage also good. But it on the road is showing more.Model is excellent this is superb for students.Riding experience is excellent on long trips colour combination is superb. Servicing after 3000 kmpl is good and maintenance is if the bike owner is rich they maintain easily if the owner is middle class he use only for occasionally. Pickup is excellent speed also super. It comfortable in long road trips but it is not comfortable in traffic .In service centres after buying a i think they are good in service.

Young Indian sport bike !

Abhishek Pal

Looks amazing the design is absolutely mind blowing. Nice performance, fuel economy is good enough actually depends on riding style and very smooth ride. Hardly there is any vibrations at top speed. Gear change is also smooth.Bike quality is good enough. The ride quality is superb and handling is really amazing. Just the problem is with the pillion rider. But overall r15 is an awesome motorcycle.
Pros
smoothness, hardly any vibrations, nice performance
