  • My little monster

    Harsh Sharma

Throughout my research months, my first preference was yamaha fz25 because it was air-cooled means low maintenance and descent millage, but when I look at this monster I fall in love with it.
Nowadays with this technological advancement, you need to connect, and with their y connect app, you can check your notification like calls, emails etc. And also your last parking location.
This is a good commuter bike for daily office up down and for city traffic, you will not hurt your back,
The suspension is a little stiff so potholes will not bother me.
Look wise again I will say it is a monster, I like the front mean looking led this 155cc liquid cool engine is superb and gives good mileage I can't believe it gives 40-45 km/l mileage, the first service has done with no issues and it is also pocket friendly in maintenance.
Pros- exterior looks, riding posture, maintenance.
Cons- no maps integration on the dashboard, plastic quality.

I've bought this bike from Ahmedabad. I ride it for my tours and riding competitions. We have a crew of yamaha bike owners. It's look and performance are next level. I love it's look. Maintenance is on budget.
It's good at riding on road but at off-roading sometimes it's not good. It's light indicators are too good. Overall it's beast at budget price

It's like a dream for me to own this bike. I can't explain the look of the bike, it's just awesome. I have a friend who owns this bike I asked him often to give me a chance to drive his bike. Often he give me his bike, but often he refused. But whatever mt15 v2 is love. The lower weight of this bike makes it easier for us to drive it in any situation. If someone has this bike they are just ultra lucky.

Its lightweight chassis and powerful engine make it ideal for urban commuting and spirited rides on twisty roads. However, some riders note that its suspension setup may feel stiff on rough roads. Overall, it's praised for its combination of performance, style, and versatility.

    - **High-Revving Engine:** The MT-15 is powered by a high-revving 155cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, delivering a peppy performance.
    - **VVA Technology:** Yamaha's Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology enhances low and mid-range torque while maintaining high-end power, ensuring a thrilling riding experience across various rev ranges.
    - **Smooth Transmission:** It comes mated to a smooth-shifting 6-speed gearbox, enabling precise gear changes and efficient power delivery.
    - **Agile Handling:** Thanks to its lightweight chassis and compact dimensions, the MT-15 offers agile and nimble handling, making it well-suited for navigating through city traffic and tackling twisty roads with ease.
    - **Braking and Suspension:** The bike features a capable braking system with disc brakes at both ends, providing reliable stopping power. Additionally, its suspension setup, although on the stiffer side, offers stability and control during spirited rides.
Overall, the Yamaha MT-15 combines aggressive styling with exhilarating performance, making it a popular choice among riders seeking a dynamic and versatile naked street motorcycle.
Service and maintenance of the Yamaha MT-15 are generally straightforward and manageable. Here's what you can expect:
    1. **Regular Servicing:** Like any motorcycle, the MT-15 requires regular servicing as per the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule. This typically includes tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, chain adjustments, and general inspections to ensure all components are in good working condition.
    2. **Authorized Service Centers:** Yamaha has a network of authorized service centers where trained technicians perform maintenance and repairs using genuine parts and equipment. Visiting authorized service centers ensures that your bike receives proper care and attention from professionals who are familiar with Yamaha's standards.
    3. **Maintenance Costs:** The cost of servicing and maintenance for the MT-15 can vary depending on factors such as labor rates, parts prices, and the specific service required. Generally, routine maintenance costs are reasonable and comparable to other bikes in its class.
    4. **DIY Maintenance:** Some basic maintenance tasks, such as chain lubrication and cleaning, can be performed by the owner with the help of the owner's manual and basic tools. However, more complex procedures, such as engine tuning or electrical repairs, are best left to trained professionals.
    5. **Warranty Coverage:** Yamaha typically offers a warranty for a certain period or mileage, covering defects in materials and workmanship. It's essential to adhere to the manufacturer's recommendations for servicing and maintenance to ensure warranty coverage remains valid.
Overall, servicing and maintaining the Yamaha MT-15 should not pose significant challenges, especially if you follow the recommended schedule and utilize authorized service centers when needed. Regular maintenance helps keep the bike running smoothly and ensures optimal performance and longevity.
Certainly, here are the pros and cons of the Yamaha MT-15:
    **Pros:**
    1. **Aggressive Styling:** The MT-15 features a bold and aggressive design that stands out on the road, giving it a distinctive look.
    2. **Responsive Engine:** Powered by a high-revving 155cc engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology, the MT-15 delivers impressive performance with excellent low and mid-range torque.
    3. **Agile Handling:** Its lightweight chassis and compact dimensions make it highly maneuverable, perfect for navigating through city traffic and tackling twisty roads with ease.
    4. **Comfortable Riding Position:** The upright seating position and well-designed ergonomics provide comfort for both short rides and longer journeys.
    5. **Modern Features:** Equipped with LED lighting, a digital instrument cluster, and optional ABS, the MT-15 offers modern features that enhance convenience and safety.
    6. **Versatility:** Suitable for both daily commuting and spirited rides, the MT-15 strikes a balance between practicality and performance.

    **Cons:**
    1. **Stiff Suspension:** Some riders find the suspension setup to be on the stiffer side, which may lead to a slightly firm ride quality, especially on rough roads.
    2. **Limited Pillion Comfort:** The compact rear seat and minimal padding may not provide the same level of comfort for passengers, especially during longer rides.
    3. **Lack of Wind Protection:** Being a naked street bike, the MT-15 doesn't offer much wind protection at higher speeds, which could be a concern for some riders during highway cruising.
    4. **Small Fuel Tank Capacity:** With a relatively small fuel tank capacity, riders may find themselves needing to refuel more frequently, especially on longer rides.
    5. **Limited Storage Space:** Like most naked bikes, the MT-15 lacks storage options, such as under-seat storage, which can be inconvenient for carrying small items or essentials.
Overall, the Yamaha MT-15 offers an exhilarating riding experience with its combination of aggressive styling, responsive performance, and agile handling. While it may have some drawbacks, it remains a popular choice among riders looking for a versatile and exciting naked street motorcycle.

One important maintenance tip for Yamaha MT-15 owners is to regularly inspect and lubricate the chain. A well-lubricated chain not only ensures smooth power transmission but also extends the life of both the chain and sprockets. It's recommended to clean and lubricate the chain every 500-700 kilometers, or more frequently if riding in dusty or wet conditions. Additionally, maintaining the correct chain tension is crucial for optimal performance and safety. Regularly check the chain tension as per the manufacturer's recommendations and adjust it if necessary to prevent premature wear and tear.

    Tips for other riders

Maintaining your Yamaha MT 15 V2 properly can ensure its longevity and optimal performance. Here are some unique maintenance tips: Chain Lubrication: The chain is a critical component. Use a high-quality chain lubricant and keep it properly tensioned and aligned to prevent excess wear and tear. Cleaning the Radiator: The MT 15 V2 can accumulate dirt and debris in its radiator, affecting cooling. Regularly clean the radiator fins and ensure proper airflow. Brake Fluid Replacement: Brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, leading to reduced braking efficiency. Periodically replace the brake fluid as per the manufacturer's recommendations. Suspension Setup: Adjust the front and rear suspension settings to match your riding style and weight. This can significantly improve comfort and handling. Regular Air Filter Inspection: The air filter can get clogged quickly, affecting engine performance. Regularly inspect and clean or replace it as needed. Carburetor Cleaning (if applicable): If your bike uses a carburetor, consider periodic cleaning to maintain optimal fuel-air mixture and performance. Protect Electrical Components: Use a silicone spray or dielectric grease to protect electrical connectors and components from moisture and corrosion. Sprocket and Chain Set Replacement: Pay attention to the chain and sprockets. Replacing them when worn can improve performance and reduce the risk of chain failure. Tire Pressure: Maintain the correct tire pressure for improved handling, fuel efficiency, and tire life. Check for Oil Leaks: Keep an eye out for any oil leaks and address them promptly to prevent potential engine damage. Exhaust Maintenance: Clean and maintain the exhaust system to prevent carbon buildup, which can affect performance and sound quality.

    Sourav Chowdhury

It's like a dream for me to own this bike. I can't explain the look of the bike, it's just awesome. I have a friend who owns this bike I asked him often to give me a chance to drive his bike. Often he give me his bike, but often he refused. But whatever mt15 v2 is love. The lower weight of this bike makes it easier for us to drive it in any situation. If someone has this bike they are just ultra lucky.

It's good at riding on road but at off-roading sometimes it's not good. It's light indicators are too good. Overall it's beast at budget price

    Dhruv

I've bought this bike from Ahmedabad. I ride it for my tours and riding competitions. We have a crew of yamaha bike owners. It's look and performance are next level. I love it's look. Maintenance is on budget.
It's good at riding on road but at off-roading sometimes it's not good. It's light indicators are too good. Overall it's beast at budget price
