Hi there,As i'm writing a review after riding this bike.. Buying exp : i'm sorry i don't have this bike, but my friend does. When me and friend was in yamaha showroom. In viman nagar The hospitality was very good first they told us about bike launch date, specification, a bit unique look. After seeing mt 15 i was totally gone mad. My friend was going to buy fz.. But mt 15 won my heart after hearing a lot about this bike specifications.. I forced my friend to go fr mt 15. He buyed that bike and he does not regret... Awesome experience in yamaha showroom. Riding exp : as the bike comes is 150cc segment, but power is more than enough to beat 180 cc segments bike. Bike comes with liquid cooling and slipper clutch, and rear mono shock absorber which is way better than other 150 cc bike The riding position is very comfortable, the engine is very smooth, and awesome braking system which comes with single channel abs. Which is basically a lower side of the bike, but fr 150 cc segment bike it is manageable Riding experience is very much better than other 150 cc bikes. Even though for long rides. Details about looks, performance : to say about looks only one word. Transformer, younger brother of bumble bee The way yamaha designed this bike is upto the mark and looks very premium The best part of the bike is "looks"It looks very eye catching, My friends purchased matte black colour, but personally i would go fr red white combination which looks a descent colour like devil's toy. About performance in 150 cc segment bike Mt15 might stand second cause r15 take 1st rank.Mt 15 performance is very good considering other bike with effective mileage. Which comes with 6 speed gear shifting Mt 15 share same dna with r15. Servicing and maintenance : it might cost near about 600-700 rs per free servicing Which is not too much And yamaha provides 4-5 free servicing. But maintaining the bike is depend on the riders how the ride The bike look aggressive. Pros and cons : stylish design fr youngsters, with slipper clutch, liquid cool Shares same dna with r15, Mileage is good in this bike A perfect naked street fighter The only thing i don't like is single channel abs.

Mt stands for master of torque in mt15. Is mt15 really that or its just a marketing gimmick?Let me provide my elaborate take on this bike before answering that.1.Buying experience Coming from fz16 i was looking for a good upgrade to another street fighter bike in entry level segment. Being a yamaha owner my options were restricted to yamaha due to past good ownership experiences. I had the great dilemma between fz25 and mt15. I finally zeroed in on mt15 after two test rides. I booked mt15 last month and got my hands on the bike on august 28th.Took 3 days for registration.I got few accessories for free and it's a good experience with the dealership.Completed 500+ kms on my ride and it's been a lovely experience so far.2.Riding experience I have completed 500+ kms on my ride so far. Awaiting first service in few weeks. Everyday commute is just pure fun. The ride quality is pretty good. The bike is nimble and very flickable in city traffic. Quick direction changes requires very light steering input. It's extreme lightweight in its class combined with the agility provided by the delta ox frame provides pristine handling. Although it's quite intimidating in corners due to most of the weight of bike distributed at front section. But with practice and awareness this is easily tackled. It has a stiff suspension setup which wont be liked by all. But it provides good stability. Also the seats were quite hard. With some aftermarket cushioning this may be solved i guess.3.Details about looks, performance etc.Looks wise this is an absolute stunner. It looks lean and mean with those intimidating projector head lamp, muscular tank and extended rear section etc. If you love naked bikes there is none like this in 150cc segment. It has an engine guard made of plastic and grab rails neatly tucked. It also has rear number plate light. The console is the same as in r15 with inverted colors. Has average/instantaneous speed, mileage indicator, clock and gear shift indicator. It looks fine in day time and absolutely cool in the nights. The tyres are same as the ones on r15. Coming to performance this bike got one of the excellent combo of engine, gearbox and slipper clutch derived from r15. Its a lovely and smooth free-revving motor which can blast past 10k rpm freely. With a bigger rear sprocket the bike pops and sprints quicker than r15. It's a boon in traffic with smooth gearshifts and good exhaust rumble singing all along the way. I never tried to achieve vva 7400rpm because i'm still on run in period. Front abs works fine and saved me once in hard braking. I don't feel the need for rear abs because i usually mess up my front brakes. Hence it's fine for me with single channel abs. The pillion seat is sufficient for an average person. I'm skinny so the pillion didn't had much issues but the seat gets hard and causes pain on travel over few kms. Coming to the mileage part, i am getting an average of 50 kmpl now. I shift at 5k rpm. It's quite impressive for a performance machine.4.Servicing and maintenance. It's bit easy to do basic diy cleaning at home. I hope it's maintenance costs should be same as r15 and it's quite nominal one. Regular and timely servicing will keep bikes in good condition always. 5.Pros Excellent refined liquid cooled 4v engine,6 speed gearbox with assist and slipper clutch, good low end pull, vva, good mileage of 50kmpl+,Easy to cruise on 100kmpl, lightweight, agile, higher bhp and torque compared to other 150s. 6.Cons Pricey, smaller pillion seat, hard seats, stuff suspension setup, compromise of top end speed, dropping of features like abs at rear, aluminum swing arm.Verdict : mt15 may not be a master of torque. I would say fz25 gives great torque. But it's a fact that this hypernaked provides the best of fz25 and r15. And most of all, with all those dark side(cons) this bike is pure fun in entry level motorcycling...!!!

I bought this monster at walters yamaha, perambur, chennai. Actually the riding condition for the rider is very smooth and agile.. Though it is a sport edition model ladies with single side sitting posture will feel little uncomfortable due to its high end torque power which is a very good advantage for the rider and the person with racing mind.. The mileage is very good compared to other bikes like duke, apache etc. It ranges from 50-52 highway and 45-50 in city traffic riding conditions... In one word "sports bike of the year 2k19".
