Yamaha Lander 250 Summary
The Lander 250 is Yamaha’s dual-sport motorcycle that was showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in India. Although Yamaha hasn’t revealed its launch plan, we think it would first test the waters and then consider bringing the Lander to India.
The Yamaha Lander 250 boasts a purposeful design with modern elements like the centre-set projector LED headlight. It also features a tall front fender, large fuel tank extensions, and a single-piece seat with an upswept exhaust. The large 21-18-inch spoke wheel setup further makes it look tall and purposeful.
Yamaha has equipped the Lander 250 with a 249cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 20.5bhp and 20.6Nm of torque. It is linked to a five-speed gearbox and nestled in a double-cradle frame. The setup is suspended on telescopic front forks with 220mm travel and a monoshock with 204mm travel. The Lander 250 features a single disc brake at both ends with ABS. Furthermore, Yamaha has also offered the Lander 250 with an LCD that provides smartphone connectivity.

NishadThe Lander 250 resembles the Hero Impulse, which is currently in high demand due to its appealing looks and fun riding experience. A decent second-hand Impulse typically sells for around 1.5 to nearly 2 lakhs, which is almost the same price as a new Lander 250 if it is launched. Indians are increasingly drawn to adventure bikes, and Hero is one of the few options available for middle-class consumers. Yamaha dealers should take note of this trend and consider launching this bike in India by the new year.
