I brought this bike on 2017.4 years and more than 22000 km has been completed with this bike. Really awesome experience good for daily commute also for tours. Maintenance cost not too high. Torque is very good you feel like a superbike. Good for handling, comfortable seats for rider and pillion. Looks awesome. Vibrations are little bit on higher speed more than 90, you can easily reaching speed 125. My highest speed with this bike is 138.Without confusion go with this bike.

  • Best bike in its league

    Devi Prasad Panda

It's the best bike of its league/segment if we talk about the torque, ride and sitting comfort on long trips and mileage. Costed me 1.43 lakhs with complete accessories and i loved everything about it the moment i first rode it. If you compare it on a drag race, it can beat all ktms under 390cc, even enfield 350 can't get a hold if rider is good. It has the largest and most comfortable seats in its league of bikes, so you get a comfort while going for long trips. I have gone to leh laddakh twice on it and it costed me dime as compared to what my friends got with his enfield 350. The max torque at 6000rpm shows on paper really is magic when it came to sudden rough roads. Also the light weight is a delight, you can feel comfortable and relaxed while riding it at a constant speed on long trips. Although would have been great if yamaha had given a sixth gear for cruise ride, cause it can really adjust a sixth gear. When you pull your accelerator to the max at fifth, it really starts with sweet voice but then you can start feeling the bike grunt at 120km/hr and exactly there yamaha could have adjusted a sixth gear. You really would love this bike, it is much better than apache 200.It can go to 134 km/hr and if go for a long run the max speed it can go for is 139km/hr(tried and tested, repeatedly). With the torque range and brake quality you can rip through any busy traffic with ease and comfort, which is almost negative for ktms, pulsars, apache and enfield. And believe me i really have tried it on busy roads of gurgaon and delhi for more than a year on my yamaha fz25.

Good torquey engine the bike has.It is so refined. At 4500 rpm bike gives good mileage(40-48) kmpl. Mileage significantly reduces at higher rpms(30-35)kmpl. In my personal experience I found speed between 60 -70 kmph gives the most fuel efficiency. Both above and below that speed range affect mileage significantly.
    Advantages:

    Cons:
stock tyres(not so confident in its grips)

Fz25 is very smooth and practical beast. Its for some one who is looking for a matured practical bike. Fz25 is like matured silent guy from college who will behave decent always but when provoked it has the spark to blow every one's mind. Its not like dukes which will drive you crazy or like re which will make you lazy. Pro 1.Sitting position is up right comfortable for all average Indians riders and pillion seat is also very comfortable in comparison to duke, dominar, apache. 2.Looks big and different 3.Exhaust note is awesome 4.Even if it lacks an abs but its braking is perfect (i had a bad experience but brakes worked perfect and i was safe with out any scar or bike hurt)5.Top speed-141kmph(note it was dry day with very less wind blast)6. Engine never gets hot(i have touched my engine after riding long distance and also after heavy traffic is so calm and cool - i love it)Cons 1-headlight- is on the lower side, you cant drive at speed more than 70 at night, it goes scary, thanks to Indian roads and Indian scenarios 2-abs - could have been a great plus point 3-mileage - i am getting - 32kmpl in a heavy traffic environment 4-silencer goes rusty very soon looks odd but no impact other than rusty look Note:Petrol- bp normal (planning to shift to shell)Engine oil - shell full synthetic (3000km max)Regular chain maintenance. Regular pressure check. Keep the bike clean I love my bike and guys if you are not for race but you looking for a bike in which you can go ride with your friend or even your mother than this is the bike. • My fz25 experience

    Muthumanickam V

Bought the fz25 abs 2019 model in perfect riders bangalore. The purchase and delivery of the bike was on time and the rc book was shipped to my home within the specified time frame. After test riding multiple bikes like fz25, duke 200, 250, royal enfield himalayan, mt15, r15. I finally narrowed it to duke 200 and fz25. Duke 200 - did not like the pillion comfort and i was not in need of out right performance machine and was little out of my budget, but i would have bought it if it had a better comfort for pillion. Fz25 - most importantly i liked the riding ergonomics and refined engine with better seat for pillion. This bike does not have a good equipment like the duke but i am okay with it. My experience : really a good bike for daily commute within city limits and a good bike for office going with ample power. Mileage is good for a 250cc bike. I get around 35 on average in moderate city traffic. The bike is not a highway bike for sure, it lacks the 6th gear and you will feel it always when you hit the highway and sometimes even in city high speeds. But since the ergonomics are good you can comfortably ride for a long time in the highway without strain to your body. I would say this bike can cruise comfortably on highway at 85 kmph to 95 kmph comfortably all day long. The one thing which bothers me is its cruising speed, i would have been so much happy if this bike could cruise at 110 kmph comfortably, which duke 200 could do this very comfortably. One big advantage of this bike is tank capacity of 14 litter which gives a good tank range.. Looks: i feel it is not as funky as duke but i would say this bike is designed in a gentleman way. Maintains : cost wise it depends on the service centers and the amount of work that you do. Personally i feel the cost is satisfactory for a 250 cc. Costing between 1500 and 2000 for general service.Pros: 1. Refined japanese engine 2. Good mileage for a 250 cc if ridden sedate. 3. Comfortable ergonomics 4. Good for pillion comfort 5. 5000km/6 months service interval 6. Good pulling power even with 2 ppl in saddle 7. Dual channel abs8. Excellent bike for city use and occasional tours and weekend rides. 9. Very good tank range. Cons:1. Lower cruising speed in highway 2. Lack of 6th gear 3. Not powerful headlights. 4. Mileage reduces drastically when riding above 110 kmph. Overall it an allrounder and practical bike with satisfactory performance.
