See it's clear that Yamaha's FZ series bikes are not as good or as refined as their MT series and R series bikes. This bike is actually good enough for nothing, neither does it have good power figures as its competitors such as Gixxer 250 and Duke 250 its instrument console is out dated and doesn't give you the premium bike feeling. The bike is so incapable that it's power and torque figures are always compared with 180-200 cc segments bike. It has nothing extra to offer than its competitors. And one thing for people who have the belief that since it's a Yamaha its refined, yes its refined but not as we expect from the Japanese machines. This level of engine refinement we see in TVS apache series. The bike has ample amount of vibration when revved post 4.5k rpm that means 80 km/h, so you see it's a blunder to make this thing. One thing I would like to make it clear in front of all who are thinking to buy this "thing" please don't waste your money, if you feel you need a 250 cc segment bike then go for the other brand because this is nothing. Just for the sake of name it's 250 cc just a bigger engine won't benefit you much, you won't get that feeling on it which you might be expecting. It's a way old technology which is used on this bike. It has only 2 valves can you believe this. Its brakes are borrowed from r15. I made a mistake and it's my duty to pass on my experience to all. See I made you clear about a fact if you have the money for this bike of approximately 1.85 lakhs please purchase a Honda Hornet 2.0 believe me my friends who bought that beautiful machine are way happier than me they ride it with full mental peace and it's a way way more efficient and practical than this "shit". They get a good mileage of around 48-50 km/l and have enough for weekend trips. This machine has very poor mileage and moreover. Honda has the premium bike feeling it has golden used forks bigger instrument cluster and handling is way better than this just a tiny less power than this 17.5 bhp and 16.1 nm of torque. Go for it, you'll never regret like me.

I got it from local nearby him yamaha showroom. My one is without abs first version of fz25. Abs wasn't available at that time. It's very nimble and flickable at very less secs. It's a great city bike, due to its light weight i.E, 149kgs as a 250cc engine. Handing though traffic is quite easy..As its throttle is very responsive.. Literally very quick. I like how the bike's tanks looks very masculine..As it got rips muscle as well..Not only fluffy looks. Split seat is awesome its gives the looks of racing bike. I love the colour ballistic blue.. It's looks very fresh and attractive..I have done 3rd servicing...Till now the fz25 is doing awesome..!! Pros 1. Good torque 2. Quick throttle response 3. Reliable engine 4. Light weight 5. Low seat height 6. Cheapest 250cc engine 7. Aggressive looks 8. Comfortable seating posture. Cons 1. Lacks 6th gear. 2. Too simple odometer (which lacks gear indicator, side stand indicator, etc.)3. Switches should glow in dark.. For comfortable riding at nights.

Riding experience is good, One issue all fz25 owners feel is that, the bottom scrapes tall speed breakers.
At its price point, the performance it offers is great, ktm 250 or cbr 250 costs 50,000 more than a fz25. Yes Bhp is less considering its a 250cc bike, but the good side is it returns a better mileage than an NS 200 or a RTR 200 , if ridden properly. 20 Nm torque is available from a very low rpm. Practical bike, suitable for indian roads.

I've bought a bike fazer 25 in 2018. It got crushed recently. And the parts were not available for a 2 year old bike. Think if you want to run it for five to 10 years what situation you'll face? the parts arrived finally after waiting 30 days. And now the dealer is asking to wait 7 days as they have too many bikes to repair. That means if you buy a Yamaha fancy bike and if it got crushed somehow you have to wait almost forty days to get it repaired. Now you say why should a customer go for Yamaha bikes? and where I'm getting this service is the main city(capital) of the district. I'm not going to recommend Yamaha to anyone else and as soon as I have money to replace this bike I will replace this piece of Yamaha with another brand. I've even contacted the Yamaha customer care online but they are of no use. They'll assure you of talking with the dealer but at the end you'll see nothing is happening. Go for some established brand whose parts are available always.

Looks and performance was very good for some period Service and maintenance was so costly for 250 series bike it should be lower level After 500 km vehicle noise became so bad that never satisfied, and company quality was so poor that customer face lots of problems like clutch disc broken .. Company warranty policies also not favourable for customer .. Yamaha fz25 was not right choice.

Well, I bought the bike in 2017 just after its launch, was keen to try the quarter-litre Yamaha has to offer. Now 22000+ kilometres clogged and i would say that the bike is pretty good, it has been good be it on/off-road. You can cruise on the highway at 110 km/h with ease and without any sort of back pain, but the back starts to pain when the roads are bad. However, a couple of things that need improvement are always there. The bike needs a 6th gear, you can feel the bike asking for it while on the highway, the bike becomes a bit sluggish after 100 km/h due to lack of 6th gear and therefore accelerates in a rather slower pace, the maximum that it will go is 144km/h and that's it. The only thing that i hate about this bike is the front headlights, utter useless. My rx-100 has better stock lights than this. Coming to the maintenance part, it's heavy when it comes to the disc pads, not because that the disc pads are expensive but because they don't last, on an average i have to change my disc pads 3 times a year if i'm not off-roading. The front shock absorber could be better, you can feel those bumps on your shoulders, the rear suspension is good handles the bumps carefully. And then the maintenance cost, well you cant own a 250cc motorcycle and expect that the maintenance is the same as the 150cc fz. So i would like to conclude that after all those kilometres that i've ridden it, it turned out to be good for me. Sure it's less in power than it rivals gixxer 250, yeah it doesn't corner like the duke 200/250 but there's one thing that you can't do in the other two, but the vehicle in 5th gear at a mere 40km/h in the city.
