bike looks more stylish. You just look it from the back.I just remember the kawasaki z800.The instrument and headlamp is a bit lower than the old one and the rear get a short cutting.Instrument cluster looks and feel a little upmarket. If you look from the side from the reaar it looks like crouching black cat to race.

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox

there is an improvement in the throttling and easily get to the midrange level. It allways showing the green eco light when i rev up(am i riding a unicorn). No false gearing. But still need a six gear.In older fz we need to down shift to overtake. But now there is a short improvment, nothing big.

    Ride quality & handling

one thing i really noticed is the rear and front suspension. It just feels a lot smoother ad the seats are very comfortable now.The rear seat is very wide.My wife didnt say any complaints.

    Final words

i am satisfied to a certain extend. But didnt do more. After my first service i will say more.

    Areas of improvement

vibration at idle. The headlamp looks more toy like.Hmm please give me some more time.I am now under 1000km.

    Pros

    better (fuel economy, throttling),smoother suspension(very nimble),iook more sportier,better tyre

    cons

bike rattle at idle, rear brakes lacks perfect bite,

  • My first review on bike yamaha fz fi v 2.0

    Reshav

Actually i never thought to buy yamaha fz fi v2.0 & visited all the bike showrooms like bajaj, tvs, suzuki, etc but at last finally i visited to yamaha showroom & purchased it. This is my first 150 cc bike earlier i have hero glamour which i exchanged with this bike, first of all i have some gear shifting problems just because i am new to 1 down 4 up gear pattern hero glamour have all gears downside but day by day i love the gear shifting. Its glossy red barrel color attracts all the commuters, pedestrians etc attracts them to make one look on it .The riding experience is good & you can feel it from first day. It gives you power when you need it & delivers it very fast & accurate. I already done first free service & hardly it cost me around rs 500/- as you all know that the bike maintenance really & only depends on riders because only he knows that at what manner he drives the bike. So maintaining the bike is a big question for every rider should keep in mind of his bike to ensure good mileage, looks etc. Pros & cons are all mind thought the things which we like may not like by others so pros & cons are no more in use now days. Satisfaction should be considered if you satisfied than there is no cons & if you are not satisfied than there is all pros turned into cons. Finally if i will give conclusion than don't believe on any others review just go to showroom whom bike you like must & check according to your requirement if all things are ok than go for that don't think about others.

  • Fz version 2.0 the darling for a biker

    Sunny Saha

Being an owner for last 2 years and 6 months, the fz v2.0 has been the best bike till now i have ridden. Performance wise this bike is a star performer whether you are a city commuter or a tourer. The ergonomically naked design of the bike makes it easily flick-able through the corners, the throttle response is pretty well as much expected from a 150cc segment bike, the gear shifting is as smooth as butter, the mileage is exceptionally good, i get around 48 -50 kmpl. The tires are well equipped to give superb balance and road grip. The brakes are fairly well to stop the bike is reasonable speed.

In short this bike is one of the best 150cc bikes available in the market till now.

Thanks to yamaha motors for the effort to offer its consumers such a value for money product.

Maintenance is the key to keep your bike's performance on the track. For my FZ V2.0 I usually change my engine oil every 2500kms as I prefer Motul 5100 10w 40 fully synthetic engine oil. You can also go for Yamalube prime but in that case I would recommend you to change the engine oil every 1500-1800 kms as it is a semi synthetic oil. Check your tyre grip and change it if needed. I did it after riding a 20000kms. Keep your disk brake fluid noted always.

  • Review of a owner

    Supriya Chakraborty

Yamaha fz v 2.0 is the latest best selling bike in India. I bought this bike 4 months ago,it cost me rs 95102 on road.Lets have a detailed note on this bike.

    Pros

1.Looks: in this price segment i don't think there is any other bike compared to its looks. Its muscular body and naked headlamp is fittest for the young community.

2.Power & engine: its 149 cc engine with the power of 12.9 bhp @8000 rpm never let you feel low.Superb pickup speed with top speed of 109 km/hr (my exp).No starting problem till now.

3.Gearbox: the 5 speed gearbox is smooth and soundless without any false gear.

4.Sound:its smooth sound is much better than any 150 cc bikes in India.

5.Fuel economy: in my short term if use i got 45-50 kmpl mileage,it will cross 50 after 2-3 services.

6.Handling and vibration: handling is great, never felt that bike is out of my control even at the speed of >90 km/hr and never felt any awkward vibration till now.

7.Seat: pillions are good but not comfortable for off road riding.

    Cons.

1.It comes with only saree guard. You have to buy ladies footrest and rear fender(from extra mud protection). These two cost me another total of 1000.

    2.Lack of six gear.

    3.Lack of led tail lamp.

    4.No stand sign.

    5.Only two combination of colour.

Conclusion: if you going buy a bike under 1 lac and in the segment of 160cc , it is the best choice for you. don't wait go for it.(after gst price is decreased by approximately 2000 )

Conclusion: if you going buy a bike under 1 lac and in the segment of 160cc , it is the best choice for you. don't wait go for it.(after gst price is decreased by approximately 2000 )

there is an improvement in the throttling and easily get to the midrange level.
