This motorcycle is a little different from other motorcycles, and it feels very comfortable to ride at this price. The motorcycle is as good as it looks, the competition can be done very well, good performance. The service is also quite good from the yamaha service center. The advantages outweigh the disadvantages. I don't think I made a mistake in buying this motorcycle.

Tips for Yamaha FZ S FI

Of course change the engine oil above 2000 km.

I had this bike for almost 3 years. It was enjoyable but extremely frustrating to ride this. Let me explain. The bike has amazing chassis and can handle a lot more power. But Yamaha thinks FZ customers are suckers that's why they've fitted it with a small, pathetic, moped sized engine which hardly has any power. This engine is the WORST!!! You'll be overtaken by a bullock cart... it struggles to reach 80 km/h. Never touched 100 on a flat road. Don't buy this it will leave you frustrated.

I own fz v3 150, trust me guys don't buy this bike you are going to regret it.
    Pros: good looks that's it.
Cons: engine raves too high on low speeds like I have to use 4th gear to ride on 40 to 50 km/l speed and to achieve this speed your engine will be raving at 6000rpm, and all that speed is left is on 5 gear like wtf very poor gear calibration, even mileage is less, i daily ride my bike on 60 70 km/h speed and gets mileage of 35 to 37 km max. The headlight of this bike is worst, the roads are hardly visible. this bike feels like a 110 cc bike tbh. Even service is expensive like they will charge you 300rs for chain cleaning and you have to service your bike after every 3 months and if you don't claim your service they will say your bike will be not covered in warranty if you don't service your bike as per their given time. The total service will cost you around 1100rs. Just imagine yearly it will cost you 4400. disappointed like I researched on youtube and thought this would be the best bike but i got scammed for real. Don't trust reviews and youtube videos, just ask the real owners about the bike for better understanding and i would recommend to think of buying different bike.

Everything thing is fine but my concern is about build quality. I lost more than 5 screws of the side panels. Also the plastic quality is not good and according to me the mileage is low in city. But I am not ok with the plastic panels. If the plastics were better and screws holding them stayed intact, I would have given 5 stars but some how I like these bike.

I am using this bike for almost 3 months and i will give you an honest review about this bike.
This bike is best bike in the segment if you want it for daily commute as it gives mileage in city of 48 to 50. The engine is buttery smooth and power delivery is quite good. The service cost is slightly on higher side as it is a Japanese bike.
Till now the only problem i faced is hard gear shift specially in case of downshift. Service center guys fixed it but after using it for about two months the gear shift gets hard and you have to fix it in service center in your next service.
Many users complained of tank panel issue but luckily i didn't get it till now but its a issue as many users reported it.
On highway if you cruise at 80 km/h you will feel comfortable and engine performance is very good. I once covered 450km in single day and engine was very good but if you want more speed you will feel the lack of power on highway. The brakes are excellent and one of the best in class and abs kicks in right time. It once saved me from accident. But i feel suspension is little stiff though it is preload adjustable.
The service is quite good in my area as they fixed my gear shift issue and their behavior is quite good. So if you want a bike with low running cost( 50 mileage) and normal riding style. This is the bike to go. Its riding position is also very comfortable for long rides. But if you want more power more torque and highway speed then you need to look for other options.
