During buying from the showroom near me it costs nearly 18k max price than its on road price. The bike is awesome for city roads and students. It have a beautiful aggressive look my riding experience was awesome. The power is good but not satisfying in long tour. But my overall experience on the bike with riding and maintaining was really satisfying. One of the best mid range bike it is.

    Bhaskar

    purchased on 16 mar 2019
    on road price 121000
    Don't buy useless accessories
    Mileage: around 40 ( speed maintained b/w 35-44 kmph)
    looks: superb
    engine: could have done better
    handling: A grade
brakes: I have forgotten rear brakes , great single channel ABS
now you will be thinking, why buy a 150cc bike for around 1.2 lacs
the answer is , I think Yamaha built this bike by keeping in mind the business potential of the indian middle class
which right now requires great looks that 180 or 200 cc bike offers and also good mileage, smooth ride and advanced technology.
    this bike covers it all
    beasty looks
    FI & ABS
150 cc defines the daily commuter market
single seat which suits the pillion rider
    so go for it.....

Buying experience was good here at Bangalore. bought the bike in the month of June and I am using it for daily commute as well as occasional highway riding..bike looks good and performance of the bike is decent in city riding..but I feel it's under powered for highway or touring..good smooth riding and you can comfortably cruise at 80kmph post that the bike struggle. pros..1. smooth riding no vibration. 2. no body pain even after riding for 300km. 3. pillion comfort is superb. 4. mileage get an average of 50 in city conditions. cons. 1.slightly under powered for highway. 2.maintenance cost is high compared to other 150cc bikes.

  • Bike is very good for riding on streets. It is called as lords of streets

I am using this bike for almost 3 months and i will give you an honest review about this bike.
This bike is best bike in the segment if you want it for daily commute as it gives mileage in city of 48 to 50. The engine is buttery smooth and power delivery is quite good. The service cost is slightly on higher side as it is a Japanese bike.
Till now the only problem i faced is hard gear shift specially in case of downshift. Service center guys fixed it but after using it for about two months the gear shift gets hard and you have to fix it in service center in your next service.
Many users complained of tank panel issue but luckily i didn't get it till now but its a issue as many users reported it.
On highway if you cruise at 80 km/h you will feel comfortable and engine performance is very good. I once covered 450km in single day and engine was very good but if you want more speed you will feel the lack of power on highway. The brakes are excellent and one of the best in class and abs kicks in right time. It once saved me from accident. But i feel suspension is little stiff though it is preload adjustable.
The service is quite good in my area as they fixed my gear shift issue and their behavior is quite good. So if you want a bike with low running cost( 50 mileage) and normal riding style. This is the bike to go. Its riding position is also very comfortable for long rides. But if you want more power more torque and highway speed then you need to look for other options.

Riding experience is good in city but in long drive you may feel little uncomfortable. Looks are best in the segment and performance is least in 150cc bikes but will do the job done daily commute. For the first service they charged rs 800 for engine oil, polish and chain lube And mileage is worse, getting 35 kmpl(after first service) in city but in highway am getting 42-45.

  • Yamaha have no eyes to improve service designs like monster but loosing the name in service quality.

I brought a bike in November 2019, I had damn confidence in Yamaha bike quality and service quality.
As I expected bike quality is good and mileage also good enough, I never compared my bike with any other model or brand because I feel satisfied with that bike.
But after every service, I keep on facing issues like,
    1. Chain sprocket keep on loose - in 2 years 2 times used to change chain sprocket ( 18k km)
    2. While installing the yamaha charge port in the yamaha service center, the technician removed the pilot light connection and connected it to the charger port. They did not even have knowledge of wiring or installation.
    3. Without fuel injector cleaning, they charge an amount for fuel injector cleaning during paid service but they do not share the report of my fuel injector and engine.
    4. During disc brake pad change, slightly bent the disc and have rubbing sound after brake pad installation.
    5. After changing the accelerator cable, not routing the cable properly,
    6. In general service is not even lubricating properly, we should be the expert to validate and ask all requirements one by one. They do not service what yamaha service plan or customer complaints and what we pay.
    7. 1st fuel takes cover open and tank lock removed.
    8. 2nd time, during the 5th service damaged the fuel tank cover, after several inquiries and complaints with customer care. I ask for cctv footage of the service but they say not have servicing footage only have footage for bike handover which is at the entrance of yamaha service where my bike stand.
    9. Not acknowledge their mistake and even during service they make damage and charge customers. As a customer we want our bikes in good condition, we paying for their mistakes.
    10. Labor charges or not as per yamaha labor cost defined in yamaha website, if in service they 10 parts even minor or major. They put 10 labor costs for each part, other than that ask for general service.
    11. Even 1 time my bike met an accident, but they do not inspect completely after that accident I faced my bike tyre was worn-out 1 side and I check with yamaha service expert they said it may be due to type quality.
I replaced the bike's rear tyre with my own money and in new bike tyre also facing the same. Last week my bike's rear tyre bearing got damaged inside and unable to move the bike even 1 meter. I thank god, that god saved my life. If my bike bearing was damaged at high speed on highways for sure I would die on-road but it happened while crossing the toll that time I drove slowly and during braking, this happened.

    Arindam Sahay

Buying experience is good, looks are killer as well as ride quality is phenomenal and the most importantly servicing cost is very less. And this is very low maintenance bike as well But the only cons is ( top speed )the only thing yamaha have to improve on fz series is power And the top speed because when we are on highway we want top speed but bike does not support us.

  • My detailed experience on fz s fi

    Teja

This bike is good for street & city travel, but when you go for a long ride it is smooth up to 60 to65 kmph , when you cross 65 it is started some vibrations (in simple words bike was shaking). Coming to Bluetooth it was working properly & another major issue is about the tank fiber body, if you add some high weight on the tank then the tank fiber body starts opening slightly, some times the bike is hard to move like it wants 3 gear at 20 to 25 kmph only. Guys, I recommend this bike within the city only. I don't know when you are going very long it is suitable or not, but here I mentioned to you I did my long ride 200 km at that faced problems like high bike vibrations when I cross 65 kmph which gives me some irritation. But up to 65 it is good, I feel it needs rest at every 80 to 90 km and my high speed is 90 kmph with 3 min consistency.

But up to 65 it is good, I feel it needs rest at every 80 to 90 km and my high speed is 90 kmph with 3 min consistency.

    purchased on 16 mar 2019
    on road price 121000
    Don't buy useless accessories
    Mileage: around 40 ( speed maintained b/w 35-44 kmph)
    looks: superb
    engine: could have done better
    handling: A grade
brakes: I have forgotten rear brakes , great single channel ABS
now you will be thinking, why buy a 150cc bike for around 1.2 lacs
the answer is , I think Yamaha built this bike by keeping in mind the business potential of the indian middle class
which right now requires great looks that 180 or 200 cc bike offers and also good mileage, smooth ride and advanced technology.
    this bike covers it all
    beasty looks
    FI & ABS
150 cc defines the daily commuter market
single seat which suits the pillion rider
    so go for it.....

  • Bike is very good for riding on streets. It is called as lords of streets

    Rupesh Kumar

Looks are best in the segment and performance is least in 150cc bikes but will do the job done daily commute.

I am using this bike for almost 1 year and I will give you an honest review about this bike.

My favorite bike I ever used was this one. I thought it was the best decision of my life. If any one ask to me. I would recommend it In this range it's really superb and great. Mileage is awesome. I get 52 km per litre. Its also comfortable family bike giving best riding position. I am so happy with my bike. Yamaha is great because their service and product is too good.
