    Abdul Hannan Shoaib

1)as far as pricing is concerned it is very much balanced, not too high.

2)riding is comfortable but the tyres are not so great,no abs,the throw of light is fair.

3)looks are awesome, the design of headlight is good, overall performance is good .

4)as it's yamaha so its little more on maintenance part.

  • The beast on road

    Sandeep Singh

I bought fz25 just a week ago, it feels so much good to ride the bike at high speed and also at low speed...I would recommend people to buy a ballistic blue fz25 , the look is totally awesome...People notices you when you ride,...And when it comes to performance you'll know automatically you just have to take test ride of it. And about servicing and maintenance- i'll also when i take my bike for its 1st service.

Pros- pickup, speed, awesome handling, looks like a beast

Cons- i think mileage 43kmpl(is mentioned) but i find a difference of almost 20 kmpl i.E. 23.6kmpl(i found this data on my bike's trip meter, don't know why?)

    Tips for other riders

When purchase a new bike, open the accelerator slightly more on next ride..so that you can take it it to its high speed..more you open the accelerator on next ride, you'll find a slight increase when you speed up your bike.

  • An overall great bike to live with

    Pratik Kumar

    1. Buying experience: bought it on february 2018. The overall buying process, billings etc was good. I booked the bike with token amount of 5000 and got the bike in 1 week on my stated date. So kudos for that.2. Riding experience: the ride quality is very good i would say. The seats are comfortable and wide. The pillion seat is a bit of a climb for shorter folks. Not much vibes till 5000 rpm. From 5000 - 5500 rpm little vibes are there but not bothering ones. Once past 5500 rpm vibes again die down till 7000 rpm. Foot pegs and handlebars you do feel a slight buzz that's all. Mirrors start vibrating post 5k rpm and they also vibrate when picking up from low speeds 25 - 35 kmph in higher gears. Overall a good and smooth engine i would say compared to rival single cylinder 250cc. Headlights are a bit of concern. In city limits it does the job, in highways it slows down your cruising speed to 70 - 75 kmph max due to reduced road visibility. The aux lights could have done with a little more brightness. The bike is well built and you don't feel the plasticity of the body as it held together very well. No rattles or bothersome buzz from the fairing. 3. Looks, performance: looks are subjective. I liked the fairing and the design, although the headlight area could have been a little well designed. Performance is good but could have been better with a little more power like 22 - 24 hp. The torque is good and flat which means you feel the torque kicking all the way from lower end and mid - range. The engine is tractable at low speeds apart from the slight buzz i mentioned earlier. The bike pulls good till 110 kmph after which it lacks the top end. Cruising speeds are manageable between 80 kmph to 110 kmph (7000 rpm). Brakes are good on the front but rear brake is a bit spongy on the feel. Overall brakes have good progression and have good stopping power.4. Servicing and maintenance: yamaha is good at that. I bought the bike in hyderabad from pearl yamaha and do my servicing there only. Overall i am satisfied with the servicing.Pros:- well built bike- good torque engine- tractable engine at low speeds- good low and mid range.- good highway stability.Cons:- a bit buzzy at high speeds- instrument console could have been better- lacks top end.

Extremely smooth ride. Done 11000 kms with an average mileage of around 42. The service station in my area has a lot to improve. As such they are making a mess. Everything is great about this bike, i sold off my re classic 500 and moved to this!! and i'm very happy about the move! ride is so comfortable at all speeds. I generally do not race. Just once went top speed to verify. The mileage sustains till 90kmph.

  • Depth in review yamaha fazer 250

    Adventure Cruiser

    1. The price is perfectly good in comparison with other bikes of the same segment.

    2. Except for not having abs there's no flaw whatsoever and a great upgrade from the fz25 with the long visor avoiding the windlass during long rides.

    3. The fazer 250 is quite fuel efficient with mileage around 36+ km per liter during city plus highway commute, where yamaha claims to have a mileage of 43km/hr.

    4. The looks are improved from the previous fazer with led headlights from the fz25.

    5. The engine is same as the fz25 with difference in the looks and same display cluster as the fz25.

    6. With a kerb weight of 154kg and two variants of red and cyan colors the posture is quite a mixture of regular bike and sport bike fusion.

    7. The service cost might be a little more than the other competitors but is quite affordable for 250cc motorcycle. With an initial service after 1000km and later services for every 5000 km with free first 3 services.

    8. Pros: great riding posture, comfortable ride, good mileage, good cruiser capacity.

Cons: not so good headlamps, abs missing, looks could have been better.
